Last week, President Joe Biden commemorated George Floyd‘s death with several social media postings and a statement released by the White House. He repeated the anecdote about meeting Floyd’s daughter since he’s been president.

“The day before George Floyd’s funeral, his young daughter Gianna told me, ‘Daddy changed the world,'” Biden said. “Four years after her father’s murder, there is no doubt that he has.”

The suggestion here, of course, was that Floyd brought awareness to the killing of black men by police officers. However, such claims were little more than left-wing propaganda used by Democratic politicians to amass political influence and power. Sure, videos of interactions between black men and police officers regularly go viral and receive widespread scrutiny and coverage. This is why you have heard of George Floyd but probably never heard of Tony Timpa. Skin color is the only reason why Biden even remotely cares about Floyd.

Timpa was a man who died in police custody in a similar fashion as Floyd. Like Floyd, Timpa was restrained on the ground with a police officer’s knee. Like Floyd, he begged for his life and shouted that he couldn’t breathe while being arrested. However, Timpa never received the same kind of attention as Floyd. It wasn’t because there wasn’t any video of Timpa’s death. There was a video that was available for anyone to watch. But Timpa was a white man, and his death in police custody doesn’t fit the political narrative that Democrats and left-wingers everywhere want to advance. 

Because of Timpa’s skin color, his death didn’t warrant Biden’s attention. By all accounts, it didn’t warrant any politician’s attention. He didn’t receive a gold coffin or a public funeral. He never received any statements from a president acknowledging the anniversary of his death. Timpa just died in police custody in August 2016 and was forgotten about. 

Timpa’s life didn’t matter, and it especially didn’t matter to Democrats. It should have mattered just as much as Floyd’s. But it didn’t because Floyd was black and Timpa was white. Democrats couldn’t use Timpa’s death to enable a destructive and militant sociopolitical movement that was motivated by the continuous spread of misinformation claiming that black men were endangered and threatened by the nation’s police officers.

This claim, mind you, has been repeatedly debunked over the years. But the truth doesn’t matter. All that matters is the emotions and rage Biden and Democrats can create from their societal spread of misinformation. It is why even though there are nearly twice as many people who look like Timpa than look like Floyd killed by police each year, there is a large segment of the country that believes otherwise.

But Timpa’s life should have mattered. It was no less valuable simply because he was a white man and Floyd was a black man. But that doesn’t matter to Biden. The president, and all Democrats, preys on the chaos associated with the perpetually aggrieved that emanate from the flames of the Democratic-stoked racial division in the country.

However, my point here isn’t to determine which incident was worse, Floyd’s or Timpa’s. Both were tragic deaths that happened under extreme and unfortunate circumstances. The point here is that Biden and Democrats are using these tragedies to exploit and divide people by skin color. They weaponized Floyd’s death and are still doing so.

Biden’s fake empathy regarding Floyd is little more than campaign material. Unfortunately, the people Biden targets with this disingenuous compassion keep getting manipulated into believing that he views them as anything other than pawns. The sympathy of the president of the United States should not be contingent upon the skin color of victims.

No one should take Biden’s incessant racial pandering seriously. He pretends to care only to benefit himself politically. Hopefully, people will realize that sooner rather than later.
