Jets fans were clearly feeling pretty good going into Thursday’s matchup with the Patriots

So much so that some fans in the parking lot of MetLife Stadium started burning a No. 10 jersey in a clip posted to social media.

The video showed a Jet fan in a green hat and what appeared to be a chef’s shirt, with “JETS” written on the back of it, hyping up a crowd of fellow fans.

The man led the group in a “J-E-T-S” chant before lighting the jersey on fire to the delight of the crowd.

The New England jersey quickly went up in flames before the individual led the group of fans in another “J-E-T-S” chant and the clip ended with Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” starting to play on a speaker nearby.

It’s unclear whether the jersey they burned was of Mac Jones, who is now with the Jaguars, or of Drake Maye, the Patriots’ third overall pick in this year’s draft

If the jersey was in fact a Maye jersey, then the burning would have been a costly endeavor for whoever purchased it.

A No. 10 Maye jersey similar to the one that was burned is listed at $129 on the Patriots’ website, while the same site lists a Jones jersey at a $38.99 price tag.

The Jets entered Thursday’s game at 1-1 after the season’s first two games with the rival Patriots in town for their home opener in East Rutherford, N.J.

The game marks the first time since last season’s opener against the Bills that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play at MetLife Stadium.

The future Hall-of-Famer suffered a season-ending injury on the first offensive possession in that game and changed the trajectory of the Jets’ season.

Rodgers has thrown 31 completions for 343 yards and three touchdowns through the first two games of the year.
