And Karine Jean-Pierre was asked one awful question that’s bad news for Joe Biden.

Karine Jean-Pierre asks why Joe Biden should have to secure the border

President Joe Biden ignored the border crisis he created for most of his first term in office.

More than 10 million illegal aliens have entered the country since he took office.

Every state has become a border state under his administration. 

Now that it’s an election year and illegal immigration has become one of voters’ top concerns, he’s pretending that he wants to do something.

Biden claims that he wants to secure the border but that he’s powerless unless Congress passes a blatant Trojan Horse “border security” bill that actually legalizes 5,000 illegal aliens entering the country every single day and gives them work permits. 

Biden Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was tripped up by a simple question about the border and gave one of the most absurd responses of her tenure.

“The president has the authority to do something about this unilaterally – Congress is in a divided government – why isn’t [Biden] doing anything?” Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich asked.

“Why should he have to do it unilaterally?” Jean-Pierre asked in reply. “Why shouldn’t we do it in a legislative way?”

“He took unilateral action before to undo [former President Donald Trump’s border security],” a stunned Heinrich stated.

Pointing out the obvious put Jean-Pierre on her heels as she scrambled to come up with an excuse.

“You need legislation, you need it to happen in a bipartisan way,” Jean-Pierre claimed. “And that was negotiated. It was negotiated. There was an agreement in the Senate. Republicans and Democrats came together. You just said it’s broken, it’s divided. To be more clear. And they came in, they did that. And so that matters.”

None of that addressed why Biden hasn’t taken any action to secure the border.

Biden tried to brand himself tough on the border to try and fool voters

Since his first day in office, Biden has unilaterally taken over 100 executive actions to dismantle the effective border security policies implemented under Trump and even before.

He could easily begin to secure the border by simply reversing the unilateral actions he took to rescind the Trump-era policies.

But like most all Democrats, Biden has no interest whatsoever in actually doing his job and securing the border.

By passing the phony border security with the help of ruling class RINOs, he can claim “Republicans” own the problem too, after it doesn’t do anything to solve the Biden border crisis.

The White House leaks every couple of weeks that Biden is finally considering taking executive action, but it never happens.

Biden officials told Politico that they’re counting on voters rewarding Biden for trying to pass the phony border security bill.

“The White House is banking on the idea that voters will reward them for public efforts to crack down on immigration and boost spending on law enforcement,” Politico reported.

Polls suggest that nearly 70% of voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of immigration.

Voters can see that talk is cheap when it comes to Joe Biden’s claims he’ll secure the border.
