As Western Europe becomes increasingly “sharia-compliant,” some Muslim nations are enforcing secular laws – such as banning long Muslim-style beards and women’s burqas – that will make them more Westernized.
While Uzbekistan has now started banning Muslim beards, Tajikistan, a 95% Muslim country, has already implemented a strict policy of forbidding women from wearing hijabs/burqas and men from growing beards.
