Doctors have confirmed that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will have to miss several weeks of her elected duties after tearing the ACL in her left knee while changing positions on the presidential election so rapidly. 

“This is a nasty injury, you hate to see it,” said Dr. Clint Pratchett, who attended to Cortez’s injury. “She’ll be able to rehab and return to the House, but she might never be in peak condition again. You hate to see such a promising politician get an ACL injury like this so early in their career. She really should have been careful when changing positions so quickly. I guess it was bound to happen.” 

The injury occurred after Ocasio-Cortez posted an hour-long video scolding people for insisting Joe Biden dropped out of the Presidential race, only to pledge her full support for Kamala Harris as soon as Biden exactly that.

“I was watching C-SPAN and I couldn’t believe they would show an injury that graphic,” said visibly shaken viewer Walter Smith. “I wish her a full and speedy recovery, but man, she should do some wind sprints or something to warm up before she gets to work if she’s going to keep contorting herself like that all the time.”
