Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody announced on July 25 a legal victory against several pro-abortion activists who are a part of “Jane’s Revenge” and vandalized pro-life pregnancy centers in Florida.

“We will not allow radicals to threaten and intimidate women seeking help from crisis pregnancy centers or the counselors and health care professionals serving these women and their babies,” Moody stated in the July 25 news release.

“In Florida, illegal actions have consequences, and I am proud of the work our attorneys did in this case to make sure these extremists were held accountable,” she added.

In March 2023, Moody led the legal challenge against the pro-abortion defendants, Caleb Freestone, Amber Marie Smith-Stewart, Annarella Rivera, and Gabriella Victoria Oropesa, who vandalized at least three pro-life pregnancy centers after the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court decision leaked.

According to the news release, the pro-abortion extremists spray-painted “If abortions aren’t safe, neither are you” on the pregnancy center buildings.

The extremists are members of “Jane’s Revenge,” which, according to the Counter Extremism Project, is a pro-abortion group that has “claimed responsibility for acts of vandalism and fire bombings of anti-abortion offices and clinics” since the Dobbs decision leak.

Moody’s legal challenge alleged that the defendants violated the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, or FACE Act.

According to the news release, Moody’s office secured a settlement, “which will result in a civil judgment and a permanent injunction.”

“Due to the civil action and securing a settlement, several of the defendants pleaded guilty to felonies in federal court,” the news release highlights.

“The defendants will also be permanently banned from being within 100 feet of crisis pregnancy centers and will be ordered to pay restitution… The defendants who plead guilty face up to 10 years in prison,” the news release adds.

According to the unopposed motion for permanent injunction, Oropesa will be ordered to pay a $10,000 civil penalty, as well as $1,000 to each of the three victimized pregnancy centers.
