Iran has grounded all flights from its airports, sparking concerns of a potential new attack on Israel.
The country's officials have cancelled flights from all airports from 9pm tonight to 6am on Monday morning, citing operational restrictions, according to Iranian state media. This move comes after Iran restricted flights on Tuesday when it launched a missile attack on Israel.
The development follows the closure of airspace by several Middle Eastern countries after Iran fired ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday. Iran claimed the attack was in retaliation for Israeli strikes that killed its officials and Hezbollah leaders in southern Lebanon.

Israel has threatened to strike back at Iran, raising fears of a full-blown war between the two nations. The US and Western countries have urged Israel to exercise restraint, warning that further escalation could destabilise the region.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asserted Israel's right to attack Iran, stating that no country would tolerate missile attacks on its cities and citizens. On Saturday, he said: "No country in the world would accept such an attack on its cities and citizens, and Israel won't either.", reports the Mirror.
"Israel has the duty and the right to defend itself and respond to these attacks - and it will do so."
Israel is currently caught up in a fierce showdown with Hezbollah, engaging in full-blown ground warfare in Lebanon with the aim of taking down the terror faction. Much to the world's dismay, Beirut has found itself on the receiving end of ferocious bombardment, experiencing its most brutal night of shelling since the inception of hostilities with Hezbollah.
The onslaught seems to have ignited a Hezbollah ammo dump which Israel tagged as a clear and present danger. The attacks didn't just stop there; a health supply depot and a petrol station en route to the Beirut airport were also targeted.
However, amidst the chaos, voices worldwide are slamming Israel for being seemingly reckless, leading to mounting civilian deaths not just in Lebanon but also amid the raging turmoil in Gaza, where scores of innocents have reportedly died. Defiantly, Israel stands by its military tactics, maintaining that stern action is vital to obliterate Hamas and Hezbollah alike.
