A pro-Haitian group that has been financially backed by far-left billionaire George Soros has demanded the arrest of former President Donald Trump and Senator J.D. Vance for calling out the immigration crisis that has plagued the small town of Springfield, Ohio.
According to the Daily Caller, charges were filed on Tuesday against President Trump and Senator Vance, the presidential and vice presidential nominees for the Republican Party in the 2024 election, by the Haitian Bridge Alliance (HBA). The group has employed the Chandra Law Firm, which is based in Cleveland, to represent them in their case. The group accuses Trump and Vance of making “false alarms,” “disrupting public services,” “telecommunications harassment,” and “aggravated menacing.”
“The Haitian community is suffering in fear because of Trump and Vance’s relentless, irresponsible, false alarms, and public services have been disrupted,” the group’s lead counsel said in a statement. “Trump and Vance must be held accountable to the rule of law.” The statement went on to falsely claim that “anyone else who wreaked havoc the way they did would have been arrested by now.”
The HBA is utilizing an Ohio statute that allows private citizens to file criminal charges.
HBA is one of many pro-immigration organizations that has received money from the Open Society Foundations (OSF), one of Soros’ flagship organizations. OSF had given over $1 million to the HBA as of November of 2021.
The group’s lawsuit stems from assertions by President Trump that the flood of Haitian illegal aliens – approximately 20,000 in total – have caused major disruptions to life in the community of less than 60,000, including the now-viral claims that the illegals are killing and eating domestic pets such as cats and dogs.
“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in,” President Trump said during his debate with Vice President Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) on September 10th. “They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there.”
Although Democrats and the mainstream media have claimed that no such incidents are happening, they have been confirmed as real through the release of official police bodycam footage as well as police reports confirming clashes between Haitians and the normal residents of Springfield. A handful of Republicans, including Ohio Governor Mike DeWine (R-Ohio), have defended the surge of illegals into the town, falsely insisting that they are a benefit to the community because they take jobs that would have gone to American citizens.
Haitians in Springfield have also killed members of the community, including one illegal who caused a school bus crash that killed 11-year-old Aiden Clark and injured two dozen other students. The 36-year-old illegal who was driving did not have a driver’s license.
