Joe Biden has another ugly scandal brewing in his regime.

Even the federal government is admitting things went off the rails.

And one question from John Kennedy created this nightmare scenario for Joe Biden.

FDIC rocked by major sex scandal under Joe Biden’s watch

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is supposed to be in charge of keeping Americans bank deposits safe.

Now, the agency is in the middle of one of the biggest sex scandals in the federal government in recent memory.

The Wall Street Journal broke several major stories about widespread sexual harassment and workplace misconduct that sparked a House Republican investigation.

An outside law firm, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, was brought in to conduct an investigation of the FDIC.

The law firm confirmed the allegations with a bombshell report that found 500 FIDC employees – almost one out of every 10 – reported complaints of “sexual harassment, discrimination, and other interpersonal misconduct.”

Biden-nominated FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg was forced to resign after being grilled in a hearing by U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA).

President Joe Biden ran on allegedly restoring decency and trust in the federal government.

Now, he’s dealing with a scandal in which hundreds of female employees within the federal government have reported that they were sexually harassed under his regime.

Biden vowed that he would fire anyone who “treated another colleague with disrespect” when he entered the White House.

FDIC scandal could become a growing political headache for Biden

Republican strategist Mark R. Weaver told The Daily Caller that Biden botched his response to the FDIC scandal.

“Joe Biden had a chance to take a bold action and show he cares about how women are treated in the workplace and cares about whistleblowers,” Weaver explained. “But he cowardly hid behind his press secretary, who completely forgot this pledge that Biden had made to fire anybody who acted in this way.”

Biden and most Democrats circled the wagons around FDIC Chairman Gruenberg despite the enormous scandal that unfolded under his watch.

“Once Senator John Kennedy questioned this FDIC chair the other day in committee and tore him apart, it became pretty clear that he would have to leave,” Weaver added. “Even then Joe Biden didn’t fire the guy. Instead, he resigned.” 

Biden refused to call for Gruenberg’s resignation.

And the Biden regime and Democrats’ media allies have done their best to keep the scandal under wraps.

The government employees union representing FDIC employees is going to make it nearly impossible to discipline the bad actors at the agency.

Union protections make it hard to punish or fire workers who’ve been accused of sexual harassment and workplace misconduct.

Freedom Foundation’s Maxford Nelsen said that the union representing FDIC employees protected bad apples.

“But however uncomfortable it may be for the most pro-union administration in history to admit, it cannot be denied that federal collective bargaining laws and the unions representing FDIC employees played at least some role in shielding bad actors from accountability as well as impairing or even deterring attempts to rein in the agency’s toxic workplace culture,” Nelsen explained.

The FDIC scandal is a problem that’s not going away for Joe Biden in the middle of an election year.
