Tonight, former president Donald Trump will address the Libertarian Party Convention in an effort to court libertarian voters for the 2024 presidential election.
Trump is expected to highlight some of the failings of Joe Biden’s presidency to make the case for libertarians to pull the lever for him on November 5, 2024.
Certain libertarian attendees are expecting Trump to announce a potential move to pardon political prisoner Ross Ulbricht. The operator of the Silk Road website is currently facing a lifetime sentence in federal prison without parole.
Ulbricht was convicted by the federal government for conspiracy, money laundering, and engaging “ in a continuing criminal enterprise.”
Former presidential candidate and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy gave a speech on May 24 at the LNC Convention where he called for the pardoning of Ulbricht, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, and NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden
Ramaswamy declared during his speech, “Free @RealRossU, pardon @JulianAssange_, and @Snowden deserves to come home.”
In a video posted to X by Cliff Maloney, a political strategist who works with America First and libertarian-leaning Republicans, he agrees that Trump has a major opportunity this year because of the deep state targeting him as well.

Tonight’s speech will make history as this is the first time ever that a current nominee from the GOP is going to a Libertarian National Convention.
Marth Bueno, a former libertarian candidate in Florida, backed up Maloney by saying, “Libertarians want to hear about how Trump has experienced lawfare firsthand and the injustice of the justice system. We need to hear he will pardon Ross Ulbricht who is also a victim of corrupt judges and has served enough time in prison for his victimless crime. He will review the cases of all political prisoners.”
When asked if this means she will actually support him, she doubled down saying, “If I hear this pledge tonight, I’ll do everything in my power to get him elected. That’s how important Ross being a free man is to me and to thousands of libertarians around America.”
The Ulbricht case would also open the door to thousands of blockchain and crypto type donors that are very supportive of freeing Ross.
Will Trump seize the day and make the bold move to free the men who got toppled by the same uniparty trying to take him out?
We will see tonight.
