America Airlines is really sinking to a new low.

In the midst of lawsuits after a flight attendant allegedly filmed girls in the plane’s bathrooms, the airline made a bold move.

And that is, they’re actually blaming a 9-year-old girl for being secretly recorded.

In their latest court filing, they’re arguing that this young girl should have known there was a recording device in the airplane toilet.

Yes, you heard that right, the airline is shifting the blame onto a child for not spotting hidden surveillance.

“Don’t you normally check for cameras before using a public toilet,” is basically what they’re implying.

Instead of protecting the vicitim, they blame the child.

AND it was numerous children that were targeted.

“She should’ve known,” is America Airlines defense.

Well, THEY should’ve known that they’d receive a massive backlash and BOYCOTT once this got out.

Boston Herald reports:

American Airlines, facing lawsuits after a flight attendant allegedly filmed girls using plane bathrooms, is blaming a 9-year-old girl for being secretly recorded.

The airline in a new court filing is arguing that the young girl should have known that the airplane toilet contained a recording device.

“Defendant would show that any injuries or illnesses alleged to have been sustained by Plaintiff, Mary Doe, were proximately caused by Plaintiff’s own fault and negligence,” American Airlines’ lawyers wrote in their defense filing.

The airline’s attorneys added about the 9-year-old girl using “the compromised lavatory” on the plane: “She knew or should have known contained a visible and illuminated recording device.”

The lawsuits against American Airlines started after a former flight attendant was arrested in connection with allegedly recording a 14-year-old girl in a plane’s bathroom on a Boston-bound flight.

Estes Carter Thompson III, 36, of Charlotte, N.C., also allegedly had recordings of four other girl passengers using airplane lavatories — including the 9-year-old girl, who’s from Texas and was flying with her family to go to Disneyland.

During the flight last year, she was secretly filmed while using the airplane toilet, according to the family’s lawsuit against American Airlines. The family is arguing that the airline knew or should have known that Thompson “was a danger.”

The family and their attorneys were shocked by this recent court filing from American Airlines.

Attorney Paul Llewellyn, a partner at Lewis & Llewellyn LLP, said, “To blame a 9 year old for being filmed while using the airplane bathroom is both shocking and outrageous. In my opinion this is a depraved legal strategy that sinks to a new low.

USA Today originally reported:

A flight attendant was removed from an American Airlines flight for allegedly trying to film a teenage girl in the bathroom of an aircraft with a cell phone.

The “potential criminal act” involved a juvenile, a phone and a flight attendant, according to local news outlet WSOC-TV.

Another passenger on the flight, which departed Charlotte for Boston on Saturday morning, told Boston 25 News that he saw a teenage girl stopped by a male flight attendant on her way to the first class bathroom.

According to the passenger, the flight attendant told the girl to wait because he wanted to wash his hands before collecting trash. “So he went in the bathroom and then she went to the bathroom,” the passenger told Boston 25 News.

After the girl left the bathroom, the flight attendant went back in. Then the girl’s mother ran up to stop anyone else from going into the bathroom because there was a camera in there.

We take this matter very seriously and are fully cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation, as safety and security are our highest priorities,” a spokesperson for American Airlines told USA TODAY.

Law enforcement boarded the aircraft upon landing for investigation, according to a statement by the Massachussetts State Police.

Since crimes that happen mid-flight fall under federal jurisdiction the investigation is being passed onto federal authorities.

I’ll tell you what, from now on we probably should check public toilets for cameras.

We seem to be surrounded by perverts and degenerates these days.
