The media is overstating what Trump said in an interview with a local area Pittsburgh news anchor, screaming in headlines about a coming BAN ON CONTRACEPTIVEESSSSSS YEARGH!
That’s not actually what Trump said. When asked about birth control he gave a sort of Trump answer, saying they have a new smart policy on the issue of birth control coming out in the next week or two.
The anchor focused the question on “restrictions’ to contraception, and when Trump said he was looking into it, the anchor again made clear he was asking about possibly restricting birth control availability in some way. And Trump again said he has new policy on that idea coming out. So — not a great answer. But also not VOWING A BAAANNNNN!!! like certain media types are saying.
