It doesn’t seem like Pete Buttigieg is doing his job very well…
It seems like every other week, we’re reporting on a train, plane, or boat crash.
This is getting crazy.
From AP:
Two freight trains collided and derailed in Boulder, Colorado, on Thursday night, damaging a bridge, spilling fuel and injuring two crew members, according to police.
The Boulder Police Department said on the social platform X that the crash happened north of Boulder Community Hospital.
Area roads were closed for several hours while officials conducted an investigation and fuel cleanups. Those roads have all since reopened, the department said Friday morning.
“The train itself is about a mile-long so it will take some time to clean up and move the cars,” police said on X.
Video of the aftermath showed the two train locomotives sustained severe damage and were off the rails along with several cargo cars. Heavy equipment was being used to remove the wreckage.
The New York Times added:
A train derailed in Boulder, Colo., on Thursday night, injuring two crew members, damaging a rail bridge and causing a small fuel leak from one of the cars, the authorities said on Friday.
BNSF Railway, which operates freight railroad networks in North America, said the train derailed at about 11:13 p.m. on Thursday near Boulder Creek, spilling a “small amount” of fuel that did not affect the creek. The injured workers were treated at a hospital and released, it said, and crews were working on Friday to clear the area.
There was no threat to the public, the railway said. There was no further information about the freight on the train and its destination.
