The ouster of incumbent President Joe Biden from the Democratic Party ticket by the party’s overlords — the Obamas, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and others — may not have seemed kind, but power is power. Winning is winning. And what must be done, must be done. There is no honor among thieves. Grateful Dead fans know well the final lyric in the classic song “Me and My Uncle”: “And I left his dead (rear) there by the side of the road.” Such is the fate of the poor Mr. Biden.

And it’s worse for his family. Recently, The Babylon Bee had a hilarious headline showing Hunter Biden holding a fire sale for his paintings, marked down from $500,000 to $25 each.

Notwithstanding the evident, inhumane cruelty the Democrats have dealt to the Bidens on the human level, as a piece of political enterprise the move to replace him with Kamala Harris as the party’s 2024 presidential candidate will have to go down as a great piece of Machiavellian mastery.

‘Great Accomplishments’

Any honest person must acknowledge that the fruits of the Biden administration have been horrific for the welfare of the United States. Lists of this administration’s accomplishments created by Democrat shills and apparatchiks ring more than hollow, as they are nowhere evident and the opposite is usually felt.

For people who are not Democrats, all claims about Biden-Harris Success just add insult to injury. The main fruits of the Biden-Harris administration are:

1. America was invaded by millions of illegal immigrants, a significant number of whom are drug and human traffickers, violent, hardened criminals, rapists, and terrorists. The rest are, at the very least beneficiaries of largesse far in excess of what needy Americans receive.
2. The world went from zero wars to a world ablaze in war, including proxy war with Russia, the world’s greatest or second greatest nuclear power, and war in the world’s hottest tinderbox, the Middle East.
3. A precipitous rise in violent crime in America.
4. Crippling inflation tearing apart the lives of all but the hyper rich in America.

These facts are inarguable. As a result, American discontent broke through media- induced hatred of Donald Trump to give him momentum and a genuine prospect of victory in November.

Choose Life or Choose Death

That media-forged hatred could not hold back the normal human desire for a time of no wars, global peace, widespread prosperity and opportunity, safety, and secure and stable neighborhoods. The legacy media was not able to gaslight people’s own direct, personal experiences with the Biden-Harris administration and their egregious policies.

This equation held as long as Biden remained the standard bearer of Democrat purposes. This is because Trump and Biden come from the same external demographic: They share the same age, ethnicity, and gender. The only way to distinguish between the two is their record.

1. War vs. no war.
2. Prosperity vs. belt-tightening.
3. Low rates of illegal immigration vs. foreign invasion, drug and human trafficking.
4. Safe neighborhoods vs. soaring murder and crime rates.

People simply know and feel these things. It proved impossible to make citizens deny their own direct personal experience by demonizing Trump. The media maligned him daily and hourly. Congress impeached him repeatedly. The Department of Justice invented novel criminality. And finally, a wannabe assassin shot him.

Was it true that Trump’s opponents had exhausted all the ways to remove him?

As it turns out, no, they had not!

Identity Politics to the Rescue

Replacing Biden with Harris seemed at first to be a gift to Trump supporters. Harris is inferior to Biden in every way. She has failed abjectly at every appointed task given her as vice president. She, without exception, shows herself to be vacuous and insubstantial as a thinker and a speaker. She is established, on the record, as one of the most unlikable political public figures in our lifetime. She was so disliked that her presidential run was stillborn, as she left the 2020 primary race before the Iowa Caucus with less than 1% of Democrat love.

How is it then that replacing a skilled, veteran politician with a candidate of abject failure and a record of unlikability as extreme as Harris’s could set the Trump campaign on its heels and possibly erode political momentum the likes of which we have rarely seen in national politics in our lifetime?

I posit this: With the installation of Harris, Trump’s record of success is potentially nullified by the identity politics that now infect American culture except among conscientious conservatives and honest liberals.

The media will do its job to define the race according to the dictates of identity politics, thus effectively neutralizing Trump’s only advantage, namely an unassailable record of benefitting American citizens and the world.

Also, Harris is younger than Trump, a woman (which Trump is not), and a “person of color” (which Trump is not).

There is no reason to vote for her otherwise. She is not only a failed and ineffectual person, but a deeply unliked person.

One can argue against a person’s record. But one cannot argue against a person’s age, ethnicity, and gender.

Pelosi, Schumer, and the Obamas changed the equation.

Style vs. Substance

Trump could run against Biden’s record, and even though Harris cocreated it, she will not be held accountable for that. Propaganda media will not bother to defend her record because it can’t be done. Instead, they will hold fast to the new rules of the competition dictated by identity. Is Trump young? Is Trump a person of color? Is Trump a woman?

The Democrats have found a candidate that changes the ground rules and the landscape so radically that all of Trump’s advantages now are threatened. These lie entirely in his capacity to lead, to create a national environment in which people prosper, a global environment in which nations resist and avoid conflict and war, and securing the blessings of liberty for a nation that is not invaded by a criminal class, terrorist cells, or drug and pedophile rings.

Harris will never have to concern herself with claiming the capacity to meet any of these concerns. She must only be three things: younger, “black,” and a woman.

Trump cannot compete in these areas. The media will take care of the rest.

Now the election is this: Can voters make it through this to recall their preference for peace, safety, and prosperity? Or has the disease of identity politics overrun even personal self-interest, and the dream of a better life for all?

We have come to a most interesting clash. The work in front of Trump’s campaign strategists is truly monumental.
