Kamala Harris entered the Presidential race with a lengthy track record as a left-wing radical.

She was hoping that her past would stay buried. 

And Kamala Harris was on edge after this scandal from her past was exposed in California. 

Kamala Harris’ failures on the border date back to California

Vice President Kamala Harris has been under fire since entering the Presidential race for her failed record as President Joe Biden’s border czar.

She presided over the worst border crisis in the country’s history while she supposedly searched for the “root causes” of illegal immigration in Central America – which basically means she got a few taxpayer-funded vacations.

Now, Harris is trying to rebrand herself as more of a “moderate” in order to make her seem more electable.

But she has a long track record of supporting open borders.

Harris wanted to decriminalize illegal border crossings and abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during her failed 2020 Presidential campaign. 

Her lack of concern about the border dates back further than anyone realized.

Harris’ political career began when she was elected as San Francisco District Attorney in 2003. 

An audit by the Obama Department of Justice in 2010 found that she misused more than $5 million in federal grants for “illegal immigration and drug and alien smuggling cases.”

The Justice Department Southwest Border Prosecution Initiative doled out federal grants to help local prosecutors deal with crimes related to the southern border.

Obama Justice Department investigates Harris

The Inspector General of the Obama Justice Department found that none of the cases that Harris’ office filed for reimbursement under the Southwest Border Prosecution Initiative qualified.

Harris’ office was forced to pay that money back to the federal government.

The Justice Department caught onto her scheme when they noticed that the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office requested more reimbursements than any office in the nation in 2006 during the audit.

Harris boasted that San Francisco was a sanctuary city and that she wouldn’t prosecute any crimes related to illegal immigration.

The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office claimed the federal grants were for drug cases. 

But, the audit found that her office was trying to submit unrelated drug cases in bulk. 

Harris’ office and a contractor who helped with the grant were blamed for the problem.

The Obama Justice Department Inspector General referred the case to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California, but no criminal charges were ever filed. 

Federation for American Immigration Reform media director Ira Mehlman told the Washington Free Beacon that Harris’ record on the border speaks for itself.

“I think she’s been consistent throughout her political career, whether she was D.A., a California attorney general, a senator,” Mehlman said. “Her entire record was about not enforcing immigration laws, [and] making sure that the people who violate those laws are not prosecuted or removed in any way.”

Kamala Harris is hoping that she can fool voters into believing that she gives a single rip about illegal immigration.
