X platform CEO and billionaire businessman Elon Musk immediately took to criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden endorsed her last month, following his decision to end his re-election campaign.

“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President,” Biden noted in a statement posted to social media and elsewhere. “And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

A short time leader, Biden endorsed his VP: “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President,” the president said. “And it’s been the best decision I’ve made.

“Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this,” he added.

That led Musk to post an older video clip of Harris chairing a meeting where she introduces herself this way: “Good afternoon. I want to welcome these leaders for coming in to have this very important discussion about some of the most pressing issues of our time. I am Kamala Harris. My pronouns are ‘she’ and ‘her.’ I am a woman sitting at the table wearing a blue suit.”

The remarks in question were from a “roundtable with disability advocates,” according to a White House transcript, that was held on July 26, 2022.

Others mocked Harris as well. At the time, GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado posted on X: “Kamala Harris just introduced herself with she/her pronouns at an official event. She then clarified that she was a ‘woman’ sitting at the table wearing a blue suit. This is what happens when your speechwriter quits and you hang around with Geriatric Joe too long.”

CNN reported last month Musk, who has endorsed Donald Trump, called the former in a last-minute bid to push him to pick Ohio GOP Sen. J.D. Vance as his running mate, a choice that Trump announced later in the evening as the Republican National Convention kicked off in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

“He was an advocate of J.D. Vance. He spoke with Donald Trump,” CNN’s Kate Bolduan noted during a show segment, citing another network reporter. She also pointed to a Wall Street Journal report claiming that Musk has committed $45 million per month to a pro-Trump super PAC, which she called “a you-know-what-ton of money.”

The WSJ added:

Formed in June, America PAC is focused on registering voters and persuading constituents to vote early and request mail-in ballots in swing states, according to one of the people. The coalition assessed that the Democrats have historically had very robust “get out the vote” campaigns and took note of the amounts of money that the Biden camp has dedicated to what are called on-the-ground efforts in swing states. America PAC will try to counter that.

After this article published, Musk on X posted a humorous meme responding to it with the caption “FAKE GNUS.” Subsequently, he wrote “Yeah” in response to a post that said: “Elon Musk went from being an Obama voter to pledging $180 million to elect DJT. The woke left really f*cked up. Badly.”

America PAC has employed hundreds of staff to register voters, engage constituents in swing states, and encourage voters to request mail-in ballots, sources told the Journal.

According to a Monday filing, America PAC reporting receiving $8.75 million in contributions for the three-month period ending on June 30. Musk had indicated that he planned to start his donations in July, as per one of the sources.

Musk endorsed Trump immediately after the assassination attempt in Butler, Pa. on July 13. “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” Musk wrote on his X platform. In a subsequent post he said, “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.”
