Trump leads Kamala by 4 points nationwide: Harvard/Harris poll

A new Harvard/Harris poll has found that Donald Trump leads Kamala Harris by four points, both in the head-to-head race and in the five-way race.

When forced to choose between the two candidates, Trump received 52 percent support compared to Harris’ 48 percent. When the option of "unsure" is included, Trump received 48 percent support to Harris’ 45 percent, with seven percent of survey takers selecting "unsure."

When third-party and independent candidates were included and voters weren’t given an "unsure" option, Trump led Harris 47 to 43 percent. With the "unsure" option included, Trump led by three points, 45 to 42 percent.


76 percent of voters said they have made their minds up on who they are going to vote for in November.

When asked about Biden’s decision to drop out of the race, 79 percent of voters said they approve of his decision. Among those who said they approved of the decision was 89 percent of Democrat voters. 55 percent of voters said they approved of Biden’s decision to endorse Harris in the race, with 92 percent of Democrats, 20 percent of Republicans, and 50 percent of independents responding as such.

The majority of voters said that there "should have been more competition" in the process to replace Biden, with 57 percent responding as such. Overall, 53 percent of voters said they think Harris will lose in November’s election. Among voters, the top three issues facing the nation are inflation (37 percent), Immigration (33 percent), and the economy and jobs (27 percent).

While 68 percent of voters opposed open borders, 69 percent of voters said that Harris is supportive of open borders. 72 percent of voters were against the mandating of electric vehicles, while 72 percent of voters said that Harris would be for such a mandate.

The majority of Democrat voters, 41 percent, were unsure of who Harris should pick as a running mate. Of those who had an opinion, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly were top choices, at 11 percent each. The poll was conducted between July 26 and 28 of 2,196 registered voters and has a margin of error of 2.1 percent.
