(Washington, D.C.) Vice President Kamala Harris once again asked President Biden to call Second Husband Doug Emhoff to inform him that she had to work late again.

“I hate to have the president do it — he’s kind of busy and it’s usually past his naptime — but to be honest, Doug’s been kind of a butthead these past few months when I don’t get home at a time he thinks I should,” Harris later said. “I’ve tried telling him, look, you knew I was gonna be busy even as vice president with meaningless functions and hosting events the president doesn’t want to do and going places he doesn’t want to go. I thought he was fine with all that and understood it, but he’s really getting annoying with this stuff now, so I just have the president call him so I don’t have to deal with it.”

Asked what Emhoff has said about her “late hours,” Harris responded: “I can’t tell you on the record. I’m trying to keep this G-rated.”
