Most Americans respect strong men who protect the weak from thugs.

But that doesn’t include the woke mob in Democrat-controlled New York City, where a former Marine is on trial for protecting subway riders.

But this shocking new video may change everything.

Chokehold Puts Marine Veterans Life on the Line

On May 1, 2023, Daniel Penny was just another straphanger on a New York City subway.

Then, a 30-year-old homeless man, Jordan Neely, started acting erratically and attacking and harassing passengers on the train. According to witnesses, he was yelling, “Someone is going to die today!”

Three citizens stepped in to stop his ranting and harassment – two were never identified or charged.

Penny had the perpetrator in a chokehold until he calmed down. Later on, Neely died.

Manhattan Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg – who also led one of Democrats’ witch hunts against President-elect Donald Trump – had Penny arrested and charged him with manslaughter.

This is the same Democrat DA who allows illegal aliens who attack police officers to get off scot-free without bail and downgrades felony assault cases to misdemeanors.

Penny Was Protecting Others

During an interrogation, Penny told NYPD detectives, “I wasn’t trying to injure him. I was just trying to keep him from hurting anyone else. He was threatening people. I’m not trying to kill the guy. I’m just trying to deescalate the situation.”

Penny is a decorated Marine Sergeant who served two tours in Afghanistan, yet he can’t defend himself and others from a lunatic in his own hometown who was yelling, “Someone is going to die today!”

While others on the train hid and cowered, Penny stepped up and neutralized the threat to himself and others.

Penny has never been in trouble with the law, but Nelly has been taken in over 24 times and was never arrested nor received any recommended mental health care.

If convicted, Penny would be facing 19 years in prison.

Penny told police about his involvement in the altercation, but it is questionable if it is admissible because the police interviewed him without reading him his rights.

There were no charges filed for two weeks, and then a video of the chokehold went viral two weeks later, and the Black Lives Matter crowd then rose up and demanded that Bragg charge Penny.

After calling the incident “racist,” Bragg filed the manslaughter charge.

Somehow the other two holding down Nelly were never charged.  

Not long ago, Penny would be hailed as a hero, but Bragg is making him a criminal.
