Republican David McCormick secured a Senate seat in Pennsylvania on Thursday, defeating Democratic Senator Bob Casey and boosting the GOP’s new majority.
McCormick, 59, previously challenged for a Senate seat and is a former hedge fund CEO with experience in President George W. Bush’s administration. Casey’s pro-life voting record has been, at best, abysmal. Still, there were those who held out hope that Bob Casey would somehow rediscover his roots and come back to the pro-life fold. But that hope was dashed by his alliance with the mouthpiece for the abortion industry.
McCormick, a military vetera, stated his opposition to abortion except in the rare cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.
