Former President Donald J. Trump is projected to win the swing state of Wisconsin, securing the state’s 10 Electoral College votes, according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ.
The race was called for Trump with 95% of the vote in as he led Vice President Kamala Harris 51.4% to 47.2%. Trump has now secured more than 270 votes in the Electoral College.
In 2020, Biden won Wisconsin by 0.8 points over former President Donald Trump, a much closer race than was anticipated after polling showed Biden up by a significant margin heading into Election Day.
There is no automatic recount in the state, but candidates may request one if they are down by 1.0 percentage points or less.

Polls leading up to the election this year had shown a tight race between the two candidates, with Vice President Kamala Harris leading Trump in the RealClearPolitics average by 0.4 points heading into Election Day.
Wisconsin has seen a dramatic increase in the amount of spending on political advertisements this election cycle, going from $209 million in 2020 to $637 million in 2024.
This cycle, Republicans have spent $263 million, while Democrats have spent $361 million for all political races in the state.
For the 2024 presidential race in the state, Democrats outspent Republicans $145 million to $96 million.
