Harris’s campaign has been cowardly from the moment it was launched late in the election cycle. Harris’s campaign began earnestly on July 21, when President Joe Biden announced he was withdrawing from the race. By the next day, she had secured the delegates needed to make her the Democratic nominee. It then took her 38 days to sit down for an interview, 49 days to post an issues page on her campaign website, and 53 days to do a solo interview (her running mate joined her in the previous one).

In all this time, Harris has sat down for just one interview with someone who is not nearly certain to vote for her, her interview with Fox News’s Bret Baier (nearly one month after early voting began in several states). Harris gave most of her interviews to traditional left-wing media outlets such as CNN and CBS or unserious left-wing outlets such as Howard Stern’s radio show and a women’s sex podcast.

It isn’t just the hiding from the media that has been cowardly for Harris. With the exception of abortion, Harris has done her best not to take a real stand on any issue. During the first month of her campaign, she sent anonymous staffers to sympathetic media outlets to walk back everything she said she supported in her more radical 2020 presidential run. Even left-wing Axios has acknowledged that Harris is a “’no comment’ candidate” who “doesn’t want voters to know” what she actually believes about anything.

Harris solidified that she stands for nothing (except unlimited, unrestricted abortion) with her pathetic refusal to take a stand on California’s Proposition 36, which would impose tougher restrictions on career criminals. Harris, who ran on being a “career prosecutor” to try and shore up her moderate persona, said she didn’t want to say how she voted on the ballot measure because “honestly, it’s the Sunday before the election, and I don’t intend to create an endorsement one way or another around it.”

Harris has campaigned less as someone with a plan on what to do with the power of the presidency and instead ran as an empty suit who wants to symbolize whatever voters think is popular. She hid from the media, especially media that isn’t in the tank for her, to avoid having to take stances on anything other than her abortion fanaticism. She has run a cowardly campaign hoping voters will reward her just because they don’t like her opponent’s personality. She deserves to lose this election and disappear from the political stage.
