If there’s any one man responsible for getting Biden in the White House, it’s Rep. Jim Clyburn. Clyburn hauled Biden across Democratic primaries in the South where the heavily black Democrat voter base allowed him to win primaries in states he would mostly lose in the general election.
Now with some polls showing Trump picking up historic numbers among black voters, Rep. Clyburn took to spouting gibberish and buzzwords. And blaming mis or disinformation. Also depression.
“We have to be very careful because this is all about miscommunication, disinformation, and that’s what causes me great pause,” Clyburn said in an MSNBC interview with Andrea Mitchell on Wednesday.
“I know the power of the media, and the power of the media, repeating these things rather than reporting what’s actually happening,” he continued. “That is what’s causing the problem.”
“People feel depressed. And if you depress enough people, you can suppress their votes,” he continued. “And that’s why I’m running around the country.”
“I’m going to Georgia this weekend to spend two days down there, reminding people of what this man did for the four years that he was in office,” he added.
All Rep. Clyburn has to do is stop by a supermarket or a gas station. Or look at the price of anything.
Freebies can only compensate for so much.
Rep. Clyburn admits that people feel depressed, but if Biden has done so much and is doing a great job, why are they depressed? Misinformation? Like checking their receipts after going to the supermarket.
Where are they getting this “misinformation” from?
Are a whole lot of black people watching FOX News or reading copies of the National Review? Are they spending a lot of time on TruthSocial? (Individually some black people are conservative and peruse conservative media, but it’s a relatively small number and few of them are Democrats changing their votes.)
The issue isn’t mis or disinformation, it’s information. Real life, everyday common sense information.
I have yet to talk to a black Democrat who actually likes Biden. Most actively dislike him. That’s just the reality and I doubt Rep. Clyburn has seen a different one.
Rep. Clyburn used black voters to make Biden the nominee, when he’s “running around the country” to rally black voters, the problem is obvious.
