Earlier on Sunday, we shared about Vice President Kamala Harris' failed attempt at looking like a normal person with a sense of humor by making a last-minute appearance this week on "Saturday Night Live."

Then Harris made remarks at a church in Detroit Sunday, and it went about how you'd expect--with that ridiculous, fake accent on full display from the pulpit.
The Detroit News reported that "Harris told congregants at Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ on Schaefer Highway in northwest Detroit" that they "need to speak up for those who can’t speak for themselves and said it’s time to 'turn the page on hate.'"
Ostensibly to flesh out her rote rhetoric on page-turning and hate, Harris broke out a weird accent while quoting the Holy Bible.

"We were born for such a time as this. The road ahead won't be easy. But in times of uncertainty, we are reminded weeping may endure for the night but joy cometh in the morning," Harris said, quoting Psalm 30:5. "And, church, morning is on its way."
The sound in the clip is not the best, but it's easy to hear this faux Southern drawl Harris had used as a crutch when trying to protray herself as an everyday Black person who is down the the struggle.

Her affection also begs the question: Which performance by Kamala over the past 24 hours was worse--the one in the skit she did at 30 Rockefeller Plaza or the one in the church pulpit? I admit to leaning towards the comedy show, which, as optics debacles go, is more harmful.
The fact is that it doesn't matter which you choose. The performance that the American people care about is the one she's given over the past four years as the Vice President of the United States, her time as a senator from California, and her time both as a prosecutor in San Francisco and for the entire Golden state. Anyone who honestly examines her record will have no trouble on Tuesday deciding who should be president--and that should usher President Trump back into the White House in Jan. '25
