A political ad from roughly 15 years ago has resurfaced, highlighting then-congressman Tim Walz’s “two-faced” record. The ad exposes how Walz has campaigned one way, catering to the interests of his constituents in Minnesota, but votes a different way when in Washington, D.C., aligning himself almost entirely with the “liberal establishment.”
The ad released by Walz’s opponent running for Congress at the time, Brian Davis, claims it is an illusion that Walz is a “moderate” as he pitches himself to Minnesotans. The ad began, “Tim Walz lives a double life in Minnesota. Walz campaigns as a moderate, but in Washington, votes almost one hundred percent with the liberal leadership here.”
Continuing, the ad called out Walz’s stance on fossil fuels, where he allegedly claimed to support drilling efforts that would keep gas prices under control. However, the ad claims Walz voted against these efforts while in Washington, D.C. “Walz says he’s for new drilling, but voted there for a ban on drilling that will just keep gas prices high,” the clip stated.
Furthermore, the ad accused Walz of voting against the interest of local farmers, supporting initiatives that would increase taxes, negatively impacting local Minnesotans. “And Walz claims to be a friend of farmers here but in Washington, supports higher taxes that hurt the family farm, and small business,” the ad continued.
The American Tribune recently reported on another ad that exposed criticisms toward Walz’s record as Minnesota Governor over the last few years. The ad plays as a comical travel advertisement, featuring positive commentary on why one should spend time in the state. However, footage of the chaos and violence that has ensued in Minnesota under Walz’s leadership was played over the commentary.
“Welcome to Minnesota, where every moment is an adventure, from the tranquil natural beauty of our waters,” showing Walz playing fetch with a dog alongside a river. However, the video cuts to the scene of a burned-down building before the commentary added, “To the rich culture of our cities.” Featuring a clip of another building that had been set on fire, the narrator said, “Minnesota is where unforgettable memories are made.”
“Step into friendly neighborhoods and make you feel right at home the moment you arrive,” the narrator further stated, as footage showing a woman being forced to ground and robbed by several criminals was played. This was succeeded by a clip of a disabled woman in a wheelchair being assaulted by looters and rioters. “Stroll through vibrant streets,” the ad said while playing a clip of protestors surrounding a vehicle in the middle of the street.

“Soak in the energy of our dynamic nightlife,” the video said as footage of another burning building was displayed. “Or indulge in a shopping spree at one of our world-class boutiques,” the narrator said, showing a Target that had been completely looted by rioters. “And behind it all is strong leadership and inclusive policies that create a place where everyone can thrive in. Minnesota, we’re ready to be your next adventure,” the ad concluded showing Tim Walz and footage of rampant homelessness.
