Closing the tabs for Order #47 ... #47, your order is ready ...

Trump traded his suit jacket for an apron at a McDonald’s location in Bucks County, Pa., still donning his red tie and white button-down shirt underneath. Trump worked the fry cooker and handed orders to customers at the drive-thru window.

“Trump is cosplaying as a McDonald’s worker,” Walz said in a post on the social platform X, responding to a clip from his Monday interview on ABC’s “The View.”

Ed: Trump was "cosplaying" to the exact same extent that Walz cosplayed as a hunter earlier this month. Only Trump handled the equipment a lot better. Sneering at someone for doing a little honest work -- and picking up everyone's tab -- looks remarkably petty and desperate.

Ed: "What is the logic behind this?" Oh, for crying out loud. What is Kamala's logic behind going to a coffee shop? It's called retail politics, only in this case stepping into the shoes of the workers for a couple of hours. Are MSNBC commentators really this inexperienced about campaign politics?

Donald Trump’s campaign event Sunday at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania highlighted his battle with Kamala Harris to court a coveted group of working-class voters who have the potential to decide the outcome of the presidential election in a critical swing state.

To win them over, the former president is seeking to make the election a referendum on the Biden-Harris administration’s record, while the vice president hopes to make it a choice between two contrasting agendas.

Ed: NBC News seems a bit less obtuse than those in their cable-net sister org, but not by a lot. The issue isn't Harris' agenda but why she hasn't done much as the incumbent candidate to effect it. Plus, the real problem here is cultural rather than political; Harris doesn't connect to these voters anywhere nearly as well as Trump does. That's pretty much the lesson here.

Ed: It's worth noting that the Steelers owners (the Rooneys) were big supporters of Barack Obama, and so was Pittsburgh more generally. This is an interesting reaction, especially since this wasn't a Trump rally but a normal scheduled game. The crowd loved Trump, at least for a few hours.

Democrat Kamala Harris will kick off her 60th birthday on Sunday with two church visits in Georgia, where she plans to rally early voters, while her Republican rival, Donald Trump, spends time at a McDonald's fast food place in Pennsylvania. ...

After being joined on Saturday in Detroit by hometown rapper Lizzo and in Atlanta by pop icon Usher, Harris will get a birthday boost from another music legend, Stevie Wonder, on Sunday when he drops by one of the churches she plans to visit.

Ed: Yes, nothing says "I connect with the middle class" like hanging with Lizzo, Usher, and Stevie Wonder, especially when your opponent is working alongside the hoi polloi at a fast-food joint.

===

Ed: I'm having flashbacks to Morgana. IYKYK.

Verified photos of the former president at the football game on Sunday night show him in a suite at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, wearing a blue suit and a red tie.

However, the image posted on Truth Social depicts Trump on a football field wearing a jersey for the Pittsburgh Steelers — there is no evidence this ever occurred.

Ed: No kidding? Trump never played for the Steelers while wearing #47 as his jersey number? Thank God we have Newsweek for fact-checks like this! They're not having a very good day today, clearly.

Ed: The 'staged' argument is absurd, as noted above. Vance does a good job of putting a stake through it in a short clip.
