The Netherlands has just stepped forward as being one of the most forthright and enlightened on immigration policy, seeking as it does to opt out of EU migration policy. A leader? But who is likely to be talking about this? Not many except for people who read sites like these. Banning the iconic David Icke, however, gets much more traction and still persuades us that we’re living under tyrannical governments.

It’s like the inconsistency we can find on Twitter – there is a proliferation of accounts bringing out the most stunning information, seeding it in the general consciousness, while some other truthers, genuine ones with recognizeable names, still have difficulty with their accounts.

Rumour on the back channels is that Icke was a shill all along and may have been replaced. Up to date readers will know his mightily curious views on Trump, which other truthers find genuinely bizarre. Hasn’t Icke done proper research on Trump and the white hats? Rhetorical question. Of course he has. Like all shills pushing a long-term, fake truther agenda, there comes a point at which their silence and/or disinformation are required. This ban also means that the true part of Icke’s work gets some publicity. See the article below. We now know Icke has been right about probably most things. Just not Trump.

Netherlands entry ban for David Icke extended for two years

Asylum and Migration Minister Marjolein Faber (PVV) has extended the entry ban on British writer David Icke by two years. Icke has not distanced himself from his “previous thinking,” still spreads “conspiracy theories,” still makes statements that “may contribute to anti-government extremism,” “still conveys the image that the world is ruled by secret societies,” and still expresses anti-Semitic views, the justice minister states in a letter dated Oct. 16, 2024. For these reasons, he is still a “danger to public order,” it judges. Hence, the Isle of Wight-based writer is still banned from entering the Netherlands and the rest of the Schengen area.

Icke was denied entry to the Schengen area by the Justice Department on Nov. 3, 2022. He had been invited to be the keynote speaker at a demonstration by ‘Samen voor Nederland’ on Museumplein in Amsterdam on Nov. 6, 2022. ‘Together for the Netherlands,’ a peaceful protest movement against the corona measures, is described in the letter from Justice as “an alliance of groups that find common ground on varied themes directed against the government.” The decision was based on an information report from the Amsterdam police as well as two general reports from the NCTV (National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security), in which the NCTV warned “that conspiracy theories, anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial damage the democratic rule of law, on the one hand because they undermine the legitimacy of those in authority and on the other hand because national legislation and international treaties prohibit incitement to hatred.”

Icke has legally challenged the entry ban several times, but to no avail. Lawyer Jeroen Pols, who has provided legal counsel to Icke, responds indignantly, “We underestimate every time the brazenness of this regime in suppressing unwanted voices.”

Comment: can you still be ‘against the government’?

The two-year extension of writer David Icke’s existing two-year entry ban comes as a shock to many people. The Justice Department appears to have been following Icke closely in recent times. An Oct. 16 letter announcing the decision to Minister of Asylum and Migration Marjolein Faber (PVV) quotes extensively from interviews with Icke and articles by him published over the past year. Those quotes are cited by Justice to show that Icke is a danger to public order.

For example, according to Justice, it is apparently not permissible to claim that real power in the world is in the hands of an “elite” operating behind the scenes. “Propagating the narrative about an ‘evil elite’ fosters distrust of democratic institutions, undermines the functioning of the democratic rule of law and is a prelude to intimidation and violence,” Justice argues.

Justice hereby quotes a recent interview with Robert Jensen, in which Icke states “that there is a worldwide network of secret societies (‘the global cult’). Through this network, advanced information is passed down through the generations. This network is isolated from the population because ‘they don’t want the population to know what they know’.” Whether this is true or not, it is what many people believe, and for which they cite the necessary evidence. Such ideas are apparently prohibited in the Netherlands, according to the Justice Department.

Justice is also quite outraged that Icke speaks negatively about Dutch politicians. “In a video called ‘The Shadow People: Making Spy Chiefs Prime Minister Prosecuting Those That Expose Them’ posted on your website on June 2, 2024, you make disparaging remarks about Dutch politicians and presume that there is a ‘sham’ democracy in the Netherlands,” Justice writes. Is this also no longer allowed to be said? “You also repeated in the interview with Robert Jensen that COVID was a hoax and that the vaccinations were meant to control the population,” Justice states, who apparently also sees this statement as a danger to public order.

Not surprisingly, the accusation of anti-Semitism is also brought up again. Justice accuses Icke of claiming that the State of Israel abuses the Jewish people for its own purposes. Justice quotes him as saying: “It is time to put down the fault lines of Jew and Muslim, East and West, and come together in common cause to dismantle the control system that imposes its will through ALL countries, creeds, cultures, races, and religions.” In other words, according to Icke, Jews, Muslims and everyone else must come together to oppose the totalitarian state. Justice calls this “anti-Semitism.”

The irony is that the Justice Department’s decision, and the reasons given for it, only prove Icke right.
