Day 9 of a 21-day prayer guide
Tensions are high, and all eyes are on the November elections. What will the results mean for our nation? It is a critical time in history for both America and our world.
While leaders determine a nation’s course, God is sovereign and can be trusted. Let’s humbly seek His Presence and His intervention on behalf of America. In a posture of unity, let’s agree that He is the only one who can turn the tide in our nation.
Our battle is not against flesh and blood but principalities, powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places, and the battle belongs to the Lord. He has permitted us to come boldly to His throne for mercy and grace in our time of need; this is a time of great need. Intercessors must lift our voices with one heart and mind and stand in the gap for America.
Day 9: Pray for Our Elections
And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plumb line; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the shelter (Isaiah 28:17 ESV).
Election Day is almost here and it’s coming with an overwhelming sense of importance. Some are still reeling from the 2020 elections, and some have lost faith in the election process altogether. Yet this is not a time to shrink back in fear or discouragement, but a time to be bold. Lord, restore integrity in our election process.
- Ask God for a specific word of Scripture you can pray over the elections.
- Pray for the exposure of those who will try to corrupt the process by rigging tabulation machines, stuffing ballot boxes, and allowing those without ID, illegal immigrants, or the deceased to vote (see Proverbs 10:9).
- Pray God will provide astute and watchful poll watchers and officials to expose any plans to delay or otherwise hinder and interfere with the voting process (see Psalm 21:11).
