While Democrats and the Kamala-Walz campaign are busy little bees attempting to demonize President Trump by taking his remarks completely out of context (as usual), painting HIM as the tyrant, the unjust bully, and the danger to American freedom — Biden’s cognitive decline was on full display last night, and led to more truth-telling than he likely meant to happen.

I felt like I was watching a rerun of Family Matters with Urkel.

“Oops — Did I do that…?”  And boy did Biden do it; came right out and said what WE all know is actually true of them, but what the Democrats are vehemently swearing that President Trump is doing: WEAPONIZING THE AMERICAN JUSTICE SYSTEM to go after political opponents.

Here’s one clip from his comments last night, when he started off trying to insult President Trump.  Surprise, surprise — I think it sort of backfired?

“She beat Trump so badly in the debate, he’s scared to death to beat her again!”  Wait.  What?  If you watch close you can barely see the guy with the permanent scowl in the back realize for a split second that something was off about that remark, before he just laughs it off.

But the real highlight of Biden’s inadvertent truth-telling came when he started talking about the constant legal attacks President Trump has endured during the Biden-Harris administration.  (Though he didn’t phrase it quite like I just did.)

Did he just say President Trump is running for the Presidency “to stay out of jail” right after bringing up the court cases that have been weaponized against him — “He got that sentence kicked back, but I wanna watch that sentence.”

Yes.  That is the current sitting President talking about his Department of Justice going after his only serious political opponent.  You know when you hear news from this place or that place, from countries that are nowhere near as free as America, and you hear about the “leader of the opposition party” being locked up?

That’s here.  That’s us.  That is what we are seeing play out right in front of our eyes.  All the while the people doing it are CLAIMING THAT IT’S PRESIDENT TRUMP who is the “threat to democracy” (SCREW their version of democracy; it’s their screwed up version of American governance that got us here in the first place — I want FREEDOM & RULE OF LAW!).

This is on the heels of Kamala Harris lying, stating that President Trump was talking about putting people who “won’t support him” and “bend to his will”… IN CAMPS!

That’s a lie.  They know it’s a lie.  But here is Joe Biden openly talking about using the American legal system to go after his primary political opposition!  THAT IS LAWFARE!  That is a complete perversion of justice!

Biden was at a campaign event for Kamala in Philadelphia when he stumbled into accidentally admitting the politically motivated targeting of the opposition leader.  (Let’s just say it in terms we all recognize, shall we?)  According to The Hill, he rambled on about the strength of the economy (lies…), violent crime being down (even the FBI just admitted THAT was a lie…), and — I kid you not — “fewer people are crossing the border”.  To use an oft repeated Biden line:  “Good God, man!”

President Biden on Tuesday night gave a feisty rebuke to former President Trump, calling him a loser and arguing he’s running for president again to stay out of jail.

“More people are working today in America than any time since Trump left office, that’s just a fact,” Biden said during a speech at Philadelphia’s City Committee dinner.

“401Ks are strong, violent crime is down, murder is down and fewer people are crossing the border, and Trump calls that a hellscape? He talks about America being a failed nation, where the hell’s he from?

“It makes me angry,” the president added. “I say America’s winning, we’re the most powerful nation in the world, the most respected nation in the word. … Trump says we’re losers, but the only loser I know is Donald Trump.”

The president also called Trump “dishonest” and mentioned his predecessor’s 34 felony counts against him related to falsifying business records to conceal alleged affairs during his 2016 campaign.

“I want to watch that sentence,” Biden said, referring to the Nov. 26 sentencing. “I think he’s running to stay out of jail.”

On top of all the lies, Biden put his own cognitive decline on full display.  You know, that thing that Kamala Harris swore up and down for years WASN’T ACTUALLY A THING?  Yeah, it’s kind of a thing.  (Another lie…)  It was a thing all along.  But what’s one more lie, one more coverup, once you’re committed to the dark side, right?

That’s not a man in control of his faculties.  That’s my grandmother in her last years, absentmindedly taking in whatever is going on around her, sometimes commenting on it haphazardly — with rare moments of clarity mixed in; very rare moments.

He also talked about his version of Presidential loyalty (his loyalty to Barack Obama, in particular) while arguing that every President has to “cut their own path”, according to an Associated Press story covering the event.

On Tuesday, Biden spoke in the hall of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association in Philadelphia, pumping up a slate of local candidates including Sen. Bob Casey before a vibrant crowd: boys in button-down shirts and kente cloths stood alongside women who leaned on canes. They sat at tables adorned with red, white and blue balloons and ate from plastic plates crowded with meatballs and kielbasa and bread rolls.

“Every president has to cut their own path, that’s what I did,” Biden said to a crowd that chanted “Thank you, Joe!” “I was loyal to Barack Obama, and I cut my own path as president. That’s what Kamala is going to do.”

Biden’s words were particularly poignant because he’s done so few political events since stepping away from the 2024 race, a stinging decision he said he made for the good of the country, following a disastrous debate performance and mutiny within the Democratic party.

“Every generation faces a moment where democracy has to be defended,” Biden said. “This is our moment.”

It’s funny — as in ironically funny — how much I agree with his last statement; as long as you substitute “democracy” for “democratic elections” or “our Constitutional Republic”, or just plain old “LIBERTY“.  What isn’t quite as funny is that this is the same man who only weeks ago OPENLY MOCKED the words of Jefferson and the Second Amendment, all in the same breath.

But he’s right, in essence.  Every single generation will face a moment when they either defend, or allow to languish, the basic principles of this nation.  This IS one of those moments.  God help us rise to the occasion with wisdom and determination.
