A male illegal immigrant with a feminine appearance has been arrested in Texas and charged with child sex crimes. The arrest comes as more people in the country have had concerns over the border crisis as well as crime levels impacting their communities.

Daniel Ramon Moreno was arrested this week by the Carrollton Police Department and then booked into Denton County Jail, as reported by the X account Illegal Alien Crimes.

Moreno was charged with employing, inducing, or authorizing a sexual performance from a child, a felony under Texas law that is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $10,000. Authorities placed an immigration detainer hold on Moreno as indicated by his arrest record. He is being held at $250,000 bond.

Some noted Ramon's feminine appearance online from his mugshots, making comments suggesting that Moreno is transgender. In 2021, after Harris was tasked by Joe Biden with dealing with border security and the root causes of migration, Harris claimed that one of those causes was violence against LGBTQ persons in other nations. 

"There are also longstanding issues that are often called the ‘root causes’ of immigration,” Harris said when speaking with Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei on a virtual call. “We are looking at the issue of poverty and the lack, therefore, of economic opportunities; the issue of extreme weather conditions and the lack of climate adaptation; as well as corruption and the lack of good governance; and violence against women, Indigenous people, LGBTQ people, and Afro-descendants."
