CBS News have been caught stealth editing the 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris to gaslight American voters and show the Democratic 2024 hopeful in a more positive light.

Social media erupted in criticism of the vice president’s ‘word salad’ response to a question about the Israeli-Hamas war.

But after the episode aired on 60 Minutes on Monday night, the version that was put onto the show’s official YouTube page did not include Harris’ nonsensical answer and instead included a truncated and more straight-forward response.

And pro-MAGA accounts and conservative people on X were quick to expose the deceit.

Host Bill Whitaker asked Harris about whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was listening to the U.S. and whether the administration had any sway over the Jewish State’s decision making in its conflict with Hamas terrorists operating out of Gaza.

Her answer was riddled with long pauses and hesitant wording.

‘Well Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region,’ Harris replied.

Conservatives were not pleased with the non answer and were vocal about their criticism of the VP’s ‘word salad’ on X.

One user asked someone to ‘interpret’ her answer for them.

In the aftermath of the backlash for her response to 60 Minutes, it appears that CBS News decided to edit the vice president’s answer.

Instead, the new version on YouTube has Harris appearing much for decisive and surefooted in her answer. ‘We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end,’ she says in the edited response to Whitaker.

CBS News and Paramount did not respond to a request for comment regarding the edited clip.

‘Remember Kamala’s word salad answer about Israel on 60 Minutes? It’s gone,’ one X user noted, posting a video with a side-by-side of the ‘actual answer’ and the ‘edited answer.’

Another wrote in response to the first post: ‘Wow. Here’s what happened. 60Minutes (sic) released a preview of the Kamala interview before it aired. Netanyahu word salad clip got dunked on relentlessly. So… 60Minutes (sic) cut it from the version which actually aired on TV. Makes you wonder what else was left on the cutting room floor.’

Harris’ media strategy has remained largely clear of sit-down interviews with television networks and has leaned more towards nontraditional avenues – such as speaking with raunchy, sex-focused Call Her Daddy podcast host Alex Cooper.

The 60 Minutes interview was one of her few long form sit-downs with a legacy television network.
