The Trump/Vance campaign announced that it raised a staggering $160 million in the month of September, up from the previous month, and that this total was produced almost entirely from small-dollar donations.
As The Post Millennial reports, the campaign previously raised $130 million in August. As of the end of September, the campaign reported approximately $283.1 million in cash on hand, down slightly from $295 million at the end of August. The Harris/Walz campaign, by contrast, had $404 million in cash on hand at the end of August.
However, unlike the Harris campaign, the Trump campaign reported that the average amount of their donations was about $60, while 96% of donations in September were under $200.
Trump has seen considerably higher fundraising numbers than any Republican presidential candidate in modern history. Throughout the second quarter of 2024, back when Joe Biden was still the presumptive Democratic nominee, Trump even outraised the current incumbent on several occasions.
In a statement acknowledging the fundraising totals, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley admitted that “the Democrats have a ton of money. The Democrats always have a ton of money.”
“We absolutely have the resources that we need to get our message out to all the voters that we’re talking to and feel very comfortable that we’re going to be able to see this campaign through, and we’re going to win on November 5,” Whatley added.
The 2024 election is on November 5th, 2024, which is only 31 days away.
