SPOILERS:
(If you want to watch the episode first, better do it now before you continue.)
Well, it’s over.
At least, that’s the impression they wanted to give as The Simpsons aired the first episode of season 36 last Sunday.
It’s an episode that starts with Conan O’Brien hosting an event, saying farewell to the show after it’s long run that started in 1989.
He then brings out an AI device that will craft the final episode and air it ‘live’.
Here’s where we should pay attention.
It deals with Bart Simpson having a birthday and turning 11.
Trouble is, he’s always been 10 for these last 35 or so years.
Bart then notices that everything is changing.
And AI notices that Bart is becoming self aware and can’t control the episode any more.
Everything is shutting down and closing.
And everyone is saying “I’m sure going to miss this place” as they proceed to turn off the lights and leave whatever room/building they are in.
Everyone is happy.
Characters are arching.
People are finally getting their dreams and wishes.
Even Homer declares he’s going to be better father.
Refusing to blow the candles on his 11th birthday cake because then things won’t go back to the way they were.
He wants to stay in the comfortable world he knows.
What kind of world is that?
“No one is happy in Springfield!”
That pretty much gives it away.
He then starts insulting Homer until he gets the expected response of “Why you little!“, and then gets the classic choking.
But this isn’t what the AI wrote.
So the episode glitches.
AI then declares it didn’t end.
It simple RESET…
The Simpsons 🔥”RESET”
"It's such an honor to be with you all for the series finale of 'The Simpsons,'" O'Brien says to the onlooking crowd, flanked with animated versions of stars who have appeared on the series, including Seth Rogen and Mr. T. "I knew I was the right man for… pic.twitter.com/w1x1rsB4ah

There are some that are saying, like Ariel on Twitter, (I’ll post his tweet below) that this episode means that people are worried that “AI could manipulate our experiences..”
And that “At the end of the episode, Bart snaps out of the AI illusion, which saw him turning 11 despite being 10 since the show’s start. Once Bart is sentient again, the faux “series finale” comes to an end.”
But I believe the AI bit in this show is a distraction.
The key phrase that I mentioned earlier is that “no one is happy”.
Doesn’t that sound like the world we currently live in?
How many happy people do you know?
How many happily married couples do you know that are thriving?
What’s the many reason people are leaving their marriage?
“I’m not happy!” And we have an epidemic of divorce going on that isn’t really talked about.
So why would we think that “Bart” represents us, the character that wants things to stay unhappy?
Bart seems to represent those running the System. The “star of the show”.
He was the original star of the show, after all.
Also, Bart’s world is unnatural. He wants to stay 10 years old forever.
Isn’t our current culture very unnatural as well? Our government can’t even tell what a woman is.
They’re losing control and they see the world they live in, ‘Springfield’ changing all around them, despite what they do.
There’s a shift in things right now. Big changes happening all over and behind the scenes.
Our freedom is returning and happiness will again be the norm.
But there are those that don’t want this to occur.
They want a RESET.
And they want you to relate to Bart. To think that their reset is a good thing.
“The old way was better, wasn’t it? C’mon, stay with us.”
It isn’t.
This episode is like a twisted tale from the Twilight Zone, only the twist is on the watcher and they don’t realize it.
Also, it’s important to note that there are 2 resets.
One the Establishment is planning.
One that God is planning.
Which one do you think will win?
Sorry, Bart. We’re not going back to ‘unhappy & unnatural Springfield’. We’ve collected more than enough scars from that place.

USA Today reports:
Is it the end of the road for “The Simpsons”?
Not quite: The hit animated series aired its “final episode” on Sunday night, but in actuality, it was a meta-way to start the Season 36 premiere.
Titled “Bart’s Birthday” and presented as a “Fox special presentation,” the episode kicked off with animated celebrities shown rolling into the “Dolby-Mucinex Theater” for the occasion, hosted by Conan O’Brien.
By the end of the episode, Bart becomes self-aware and realizes his birthday means he will turn 11. (Bart has been 10 years old since the series began.) He refuses, leading to Homer strangling him and the show glitching and resetting. With everything then back to normal, the “series finale” is no longer.
New York Post adds:
The show’s AI storyline left fans perplexed but they eventually realized the show wasn’t actually ending.
Groening (Creator), 70, addressed the possible end to the series in a 2021 interview with USA Today.
“My standard answer is there’s no end in sight because anytime I speculate on the show ending, the people who work on it and diehard fans get very upset,” he said. “So, I always say there’s no end in sight.”
Season 37 of “The Simpsons” has yet to be announced.

Curious that this show is even still on.
Many viewers have left as it got steadily more woke over the past few years.
Here’s a graph showing the viewership for the show since season 12 (from fall of 2000) to now:
It’s been pointed out that Groening is a high level member of the Freemasons, and therefore has access to what the Establishment are planning.
This would explain how they’re able to accurately “predict” future events.
