Spoiler: Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott: 1, embattled NYC Democrat Mayor Eric Adams: 0. Final score.

In an exclusive interview with the New York Post on Monday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he initially had no intention of busing illegal aliens to New York City. Then NYC Mayor Eric Adams opened his big mouth.

Abbott explained that at first, he was only sending buses of illegals to Washington, D.C, to make a point about the Biden-Harris administration’s refusal to stop the massive surge of illegal crossings — and to relieve pressure on border towns that were being overrun. Then Adams screwed up:

"Out of nowhere, Mayor Adams started criticizing me for busing them to New York, which I was not doing. But he kept criticizing me.”

Oops, Eric.

As a direct result, said Abbott, he decided in 2022 to send 119,000 illegals from the Lone Star state to Democrat-run sanctuary cities — including more than 45,000 to New York alone — across the country, including Chicago, Los Angeles, and Denver.

Abbott reiterated, as if to stick it in Adams's face one more time:

I thought, ‘You know what? New York is a sanctuary city, if I’m going to get the criticism, I’m going to get the credit.’ So we started busing them to New York.

As I wrote in the headline, Adams deserved every minute of it.

The Texas governor claimed that his busing of illegals helped the rest of the country understand that the intentionally created Biden-Harris crisis was not just a problem for Texas and other border states:

Because of that process people across the country began to understand this is not a Texas issue. This is a United States issue. And it made them focus on the political issue, either at the city council level or all the way to the presidential level. This is not a Texas issue. This is a United States issue caused by the Biden administration.

Needless to say, Adams had a different take, with a spokesperson for City Hall telling the Post:

For over two years, Governor Abbott has used human beings as political pawns and sent thousands of migrants to New York City without any kind of communication or coordination.

It should be noted that Texas, Arizona, and Florida have suffered through border surge after border surge throughout the miserable Biden-Harris administration without any kind of communication or coordination, too.

Abbott also said Texas can't afford another four years of open-border policy, which he knows— as does everyone else in the country; Republicans and Democrats — would be the case if Kamala Harris wins the election:

Coming out of Texas taxpayer pockets is far more than $10 billion of our own money to pay for border security, to deal with refusal of the Biden-Harris administration to secure the border.

The governor said the so-called "border czar," which Harris now vehemently denies she was, has not only "ignored" the crisis but has also ignored past requests to visit the border:

She has never even responded.  A Kamala Harris presidency could destroy Texas.

What a Difference a Presidential Election Makes to Hypocritical Democrats

While Democrats — and all leftists — are hypocritical by nature, Harris's Friday transparent trip to border was beyond laughable. Not only did she barely speak while there, even the National Border Patrol Council blasted her for what amounted to nothing more than a campaign event.

During a speech (lie-fest) Harris declared she has a plan to fix the border crisis that she and Biden intentionally began to create as soon as they stepped foot in the White House.

The Bottom Line

From being for so-called sanctuary cities to shipping illegals out of those cities as fast as they can, to being opposed to ending the border crisis for three-and-a-half years to flip-flopping like a stack of pancakes on a hot griddle and claiming to have a plan to fix it, the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party knows no bounds.

Yeah, you already knew that.
