This is infuriating.

After committing a gruesome murder, an illegal immigrant and member of the notorious MS-13 gang was allowed to attend public school in Maryland.

Back in 2022, 19-year-old (then 16-year-old) Walter Javier Martinez, who entered the country illegally and was originally from El Salvador, broke into the bedroom of 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton.

He proceeded to rape her, then strangle her to death.

Even after becoming a suspect in her murder, Martinez was allowed to keep going to a local high school while waiting for his trial date.

Walter Javier Martinez was recently convicted of raping and murdering Kayla Hamilton.

He was sentenced to 70 years behind bars.

This was the only crime he was convicted of, but Martinez has also claimed to have murdered 4 other people and raped 2…

Fox Baltimore reported:

A 19-year-old is now sentenced to 70 years in prison for the 2022 murder and sexual assault of Kayla Hamilton.

Walter Javier Martinez was 16 years old at the time and in the country illegally from El Salvador.

Martinez shared part of a mobile home in Aberdeen with then 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton.

Investigators say Martinez bound, sexually assaulted, and then strangled Hamilton on July 27th, 2022.

The murder happened just four months after Martinez illegally entered the U.S.

During a plea deal Wednesday, prosecutors presented a letter that was intercepted in the Harford County Detention Center.

In the letter, to a pastor in El Salvador, Martinez said he killed four other people and committed two additional rapes.

According to a news release from the Harford County State’s Attorney’s Office, Martinez illegally entered the U.S. from El Salvador in March 2022. His defense team stated during the trial that Martinez employed “coyotes” — people who are paid to move things illegally across the border — to get him into the country when he was 16 years old and that he is a member of the MS-13, a violent street gang, according to the news release.

Hamilton and her boyfriend moved to the 100 block of East Inca St., in Aberdeen from Virginia several months before she was killed. Martinez had been staying at the home for five days before the murder, according to the news release.

On the day of her murder, July 27, 2022, Hamilton was alone in the home with Martinez for the first time. Hamilton called her boyfriend when someone knocked on the door of their bedroom and the murder was recorded on a voicemail that was played in court in support of Martinez’s plea, according to the news release; on the recording Martinez could be heard apologizing to the victim.

Hamilton’s body was discovered by her boyfriend, who said he saw Martinez walking away from the residence shortly before he arrived at the scene. Hamilton’s body was bound at the wrists with a phone charger tightly wrapped around her neck and her mouth, according to the news release.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide by strangulation.
