Police bodycam footage has surfaced showing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, her former romantic partner, together during the arrest of Willis' daughter, despite Willis previously claiming in court that their relationship had ended months earlier.

The footage, first obtained by the Daily Mail, captured the moment that Willis and Wade arrived together in an SUV at the scene of her daughter Kinaya's arrest on August 24. The officers initially believed Willis and Wade to be Kinaya's parents, but Willis referred to Wade as "just a friend."

At one point in the video, Willis is heard asking officers not to list her address, stating, “Y'all can have my address, the rest of the world, no," a reference to her high-profile status. An officer replied, "For obvious reasons," implying he recognized Willis.

According to the Daily Mail, Kinaya was pulled over for using her cellphone while driving and told police she was unaware her license had been suspended on May 13 due to unpaid tickets in Florida. She claimed she was on her phone because her mother had called regarding her pregnancy. Kinaya was arrested and later released from jail. She is required to attend municipal court in October.

Fani Willis has been in the public spotlight for her role in prosecuting former President Donald Trump in Georgia, where she secured a grand jury indictment against him and his allies last year for allegedly violating the state’s anti-racketeering laws.

During court proceedings against Trump, Willis was accused of having an improper relationship with Wade, whom she had appointed as a special prosecutor. Lawyers claimed that Willis benefited financially from the relationship, alleging Wade used part of his earnings to fund vacations for them.

Willis admitted to the romantic relationship in court but stated it had ended. Wade stepped down from his role as prosecutor after Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ruled in March that one of the two would need to dismiss themselves from the case. A hearing is set for December to determine whether Willis should also be removed from the case.
