Several Republican-controlled states have been increasing their efforts to secure election integrity with just two months left until Election Day, including the removal of thousands of illegal aliens from the voting rolls.

As reported by the Daily Caller, the states that have cracked down on illegals potentially voting include Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and Alabama. These states have removed at least 17,000 illegals from the voting rolls, with investigations still ongoing.

In Ohio, the office of the secretary of state identified nearly 600 illegals who were registered to vote, referring over 100 of them for prosecution. The Alabama Secretary of State confirmed 3,251 illegals registered to vote after being issued non-citizen identification numbers. There were over 6,000 illegals removed from the voting rolls in Virginia, and 6,500 removed from the voting rolls in Texas.

The push to crack down on illegals voting has expanded to other crucial swing states, particularly Arizona. In 2022, the Republican-controlled legislature and then-Governor Doug Ducey (R-Ariz.) passed a law requiring proof of citizenship in order to cast a ballot. The law faced legal challenges and was first upheld, then blocked by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, before ultimately being upheld by the Supreme Court.

Following the Supreme Court’s ruling, America First Legal filed a lawsuit against the county recorder in Maricopa County, Arizona, demanding that the recorder enforce the state law and remove illegals from the voter rolls. As of April 1st, according to America First Legal, there are over 35,000 illegals registered to vote in Arizona. In the 2020 election, the margin by which Joe Biden allegedly won the state was less than 11,000.

Election integrity remains a top concern for many Americans, after widespread and credible evidence emerged that voter fraud occurred in 2020, and may have changed the results of the election in favor of Biden. A recent poll shows that a majority of Americans believe that illegal aliens will vote in large numbers in this election.

The 2024 election is currently seen as a near-even tossup between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. The current aggregate of polls by Real Clear Politics gives Harris a mere 1.8% margin in the national popular vote, which would equate to a decisive electoral college victory for Trump.
