Joe Biden is moving full steam ahead with forcing Americans to adopt green energy.

But he’s running into a roadblock that could change everything.

China could be the undoing of Joe Biden’s green energy agenda

President Joe Biden’s top political priority is forcing the country to switch to green energy to combat climate change.

The biggest obstacle to his and his fellow Democrats’ environmental extremist efforts remains Communist China’s dominance over the green energy supply chain.

From leading the world in the mining and processing of rare earth metals, like nickel, cobalt, and lithium, that are required to produce electric vehicles, their batteries, solar panels, and wind turbines to the actual production of such green energy products, China effectively controls every aspect of green energy production.

Meanwhile, Democrats’ obsession with environmental extremist regulations and lawsuits have crippled the American mining industry, leaving the country with just one operational nickel mine, one operational lithium mine, and no operational cobalt mines, while also further empowering and enriching Communist China and driving up the prices of other tech products, like cell phones, smartwatches, computers, TVs, and more.

Despite the obvious need for increased production of the aforementioned rare earth metals – especially if Democrats hope to make their green energy mandates a reality – Biden has unilaterally blocked several major U.S. mining projects for environmental extremist reasons.

As a result, Communist China has been taking control of mineral resources around the globe that are essential to Biden’s green energy revolution.

Colorado School of Mines Professor Morgan Bazilian told The Wall Street Journal that Communist China is pouring big money into dominating the mineral market.

“China is not just standing still waiting for us to catch up,” Bazilian said. “They are making investments on top of their already massive investments in all aspects of the critical-minerals supply chain.”

What was previously America’s only cobalt mine shut down last year.

More than 70% of the cobalt in the world comes from mines in the Congo, and Chinese companies have been expanding their control over the country’s mining industry for years now.

China is poised to control the world’s mineral market

China has become ruthlessly efficient at mining and processing the minerals – albeit with the reported help of slave labor.

And their mining companies – backed with money from the Communist regime – have been buying up mineral assets around the world in places like Indonesia, Mali, Bolivia, and Zimbabwe.

Western mining companies have struggled to secure loans and financing to develop mines from environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies and because of the political risk of doing business in third-world countries.

China is out-innovating the West at mining after the industry fell out of favor because it was considered environmentally unfriendly.

“In eastern Indonesia, Chinese companies have built a fleet of highly efficient nickel and cobalt plants over the past few years after mastering a technology Western miners long considered glitchy and expensive. The plants run on coal power, some of it new, at a time when the world is looking to phase out dirty energy,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

Macquarie Managing Director for commodities strategy Jim Lennon said that China is doing what the rest of the world has forgotten.

“It’s just a simple, straightforward engineering capability that the Chinese have that has been lost in the rest of the world,” Lennon said. “The Chinese have this overwhelming competitive advantage now that can’t really be addressed.”

China is taking control of the global mineral industry, while Joe Biden is trying to boost green energy.

America’s energy policy will be under the control of the Communist Chinese Party because of Biden’s environmental extremist agenda.
