New book exposes the real Kamala Harris

The Truce: Progressives, Centrists, and the Future of the Democratic Party was a book published back in January by left-wing authors Hunter Walker and Luppe B. Luppen.

Luppen and Walker paint an unflattering picture of Vice President Kamala Harris as an incompetent manager and someone whose own campaign aides thought was woefully unqualified to be President.

This portrayal of Kamala Harris as someone who failed their way upward was the accepted conventional wisdom in the Democrat Party.

But once Joe Biden imploded in the June 27 debate, Democrats stuffed that reality of Kamala Harris the real-life version of the lead character from HBO’s satire show Veep and pressed forward with the Hollywood creation of Kamala the icon.

Kamala Harris’ big weakness is her poor managerial skills.

Since becoming Vice President, Kamala Harris saw her office suffer through a 92% staff turnover.

Anyone who read The Truce would understand why, as top aides from Kamala’s failed 2020 campaign breathed a sigh of relief Kamala didn’t end up in the Oval Office.

“It was rotten from the start,” a top aide from her 2020 campaign told the authors. “A lot of us, at least folks that I was friends with on the campaign, all realized that: ‘Yeah, this person should not be president of the United States,’ the aide told the authors.

Kamala empowers the wrong people

Kamala’s sister Maya turned into an infamous figure in the campaign.

Luppen and Walker describe a power struggle between Maya and campaign manager Juan Rodriguez.

Staffers walked on eggshells as Maya and Rodriguez peppered them for information to see where their loyalties lie.

“It was the most awkward day of my life,” the staffer reported of a campaign audit.

“People were literally having a thirty-minute audit meeting with Juan about how the campaign was going and then they were walking across the hall into the same meeting with Maya … I remember Juan popping into my office to find out how the meeting with Maya went.”

Another staffer responsible for fundraising described Kamala as obsessed with making sure she had a woke work environment as opposed to a successful campaign.

“She cared less about how much money I was raising for her and more about what I was doing to create a good inclusive workspace,” the aide told the authors.

State operations manager Kelly Mehlenbacher resigned in a shocking letter published in the New York Times.

In what became a theme of her Vice Presidential office, Mehlenbacher described Kamala’s campaign as a toxic work environment where the upper echelon mistreated staff.

“This is my third presidential campaign and I have never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly,” Mehlenbacher stated.

Mehlenbacher added that “because we have refused to confront our mistakes, foster an environment of critical thinking and honest feedback, or trust the expertise of talented staff, we find ourselves making the same unforced errors over and over.”

There is an axiom in politics that you govern like you campaign.

In that case, the warning signs are flashing bright red.
