Vice President Kamala Harris was accused of putting on a fake accent for her Detroit audience on Monday. This comes as the Democratic nominee gave similar lines in a couple of speeches about thanking union members, however, how she pronounced the words in Detroit sounded different.

Harris gave similar lines about thanking union members for "sick leave" the "five-hour workweek" and other labor-driven initiatives.

"You better thank a union member for the five-day work week," Harris said to the audience with a noticeable shift in her voice. "You better thank a union member for sick leave. You better thank a union member for paid leave. You better thank a union member for vacation time."

Users on X pointed out the difference in her accent as she spoke to both audiences, with influential conservative user Johnny MAGA saying that Harris was engaging in "Detroit speak," adding that Harris is "cringe and fake."

Another line that was pointed out by users on the social media platform was how Harris said, "Let's just get through the next 64 days, how about that!?"

Users pointed out the way that she pronounced "64 days" in the Detroit speech as well as the Pittsburgh speech, showing the stark difference between the two with the speeches given just hours apart.

Greg Price posted a clip from each speech and said, "Kamala Harris speaking in Detroit earlier today vs Pittsburgh a few hours later. Same speech. Two entirely different accents. She's the fakest human being that has ever lived."

Libs of TikTok wrote of the apparently newfound accent from Harris, "What did I just watch… what’s with this new accent? The fakeness and cringe here is off the charts."

The Trump campaign's Trump Warroom account also pointed out the change in her voice as she spoke to voters in Michigan versus those in Pennsylvania, "CRINGE: 'Let's just get through the next 64 days, how about that!? HA HA HA HA HA!'"
