Footage from earlier this year demonstrated an ever-present phenomenon at Waffle House locations around the country:  violent late-night brawls.  The altercation in question featured an assortment of characters fighting with Waffle House staffers over an unspecified issue, giving credence to the timeless adage that “nothing good happens after midnight.”

The video shows a rather flamboyant-looking individual sporting a checkered rainbow t-shirt and orange-dyed hair to compliment it assaulting a female Waffle House employee.  As the individuals with the man attempted to restrain him, he repeatedly punched the female staffer as other patrons watched with seeming indifference to the violence before their eyes.

Conservative influencer Ian Miles Cheong uploaded the clip to X, writing, “An angry, out of control dyed haired individual attacks white Waffle House staffers. What is it with people behaving badly at fast food establishments?” calling out the decline in social decorum seen in restaurants across Americans.  Another user added to his statement, “Dyed hair individual?? No. A man hitting on a woman. Call it like it is.”

One person speculated about the childhood experiences of the culprits involved in such attacks.  “They had no boundaries or discipline at home and they were the kids that got trophies and never earned them. They need to be in the military and get their arse whooped,” they said.

Another user pondered what happened to “family-friendly,” service-oriented dining locations. “My question is, what happened to family-friendly fast food restaurants—aside from Chick-fil-A—that would treat customers cordially and assertively?” they asked.

Others weighed in on the continual incidents like the one seen in this video which seem to occur at Waffle House.  “Waffle House should have armed security or decide to shut down at 9 pm before people get intoxicated,” one said.  “Pepper spray. Never leave home without it,” another added.  One user wrote, “And it’s just another day at the Waffle HOUSE!”

One person speculated as to what is driving the perpetual decline in social decorum.  “This is exactly what the leftists of the Soros-funded projects around the U.S. want. Tyrants use such age-old tactics to sow division/discord among populaces. A polarized/confused society vote for policies that suspend the very civil liberties that protect them from such tyranny,” they wrote.

“My young children act very poorly when they’re too hungry. But they’re children. These fatherless adults have never been trained. They are damaged goods. They’re dangerous …,” one user commented.  “Look at all the people holding up their phones. With the combination of DA’s that won’t prosecute and Biden letting criminal aliens invade our country it’s only going to get worse.” another lamented.

One Reddit user offered their personal insight from the lens of someone who worked at a Waffle House.  “I cooked at a facsimile of Waffle House. 3rd shift and it was in the same parking lot as 3 clubs. 2AM it filled with club goers and club workers. I’ve seen so many guns pulled, people pushed through plate glass windows, people stumbling in just having been maced. Even the homeless people who would camp out on the stools would vacate and wait things out in the enclosed ATM in the same parking lot. When things got crazy, we were instructed to go in the back and lock the two way door. I’d leave a grill full of food to burn and watch it all from a 4 inch black and white security monitor. $4.25 a hour…” they wrote.
