The Philadelphia Eagles are taking action to remove fake endorsements from their football team for Vice President Kamala Harris, videos of which have been circulating online and going viral. This comes as the 2024 election cycle draws closer.

Video of advertisements circulated online, appearing to show political support for Kamala Harris coming from the Philadelphia Eagles NFL team. After video and photos of the advertisements circulated online, going viral on Monday, the Eagles came out against the posters, calling them "counterfeit."

"We are aware counterfeit political ads are being circulated and are working with our advertising partner to have them removed," the team posted online.

Reporter Steve Keely at Fox29 in Philadelphia reported that a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) said of the posters on the bus shelters are owned by the city, "SEPTA's ad spaces are mostly in train stations and on-board buses and trains. So far, we have not heard anything about ads like this appearing on SEPTA property," a spokesman added.

Some of the ads have been removed and a blank space was seen where the Harris advertisement used to be. The poster read, "Kamala, Official candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles" and then linked to "philadelphiaeagles.com/vote," an official webpage from the Eagles that encourages people to vote in elections.

The website offers many options to those searching to get involved in the political election process. The organizations that are linked on the website from the Eagles include "Power the Polls" as well as "Vote 411." The supposed "non-partisan" advisory council of Power to the Polls is co-chaired by Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and actress Kerry Washington. Both spoke at the Democratic National Convention.

"Vote 411" was launched by the "League of Women Voters" in 2006, per the website. The organization has a history of posting support for left-wing causes such as abortion as well as celebrating transgender day of visibility.
