MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace was seething with rage on Wednesday evening after former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley announced that she will be voting for former President Donald Trump in November.
After weeks of speculation, Haley confirmed that she will be endorsing her former boss during a lengthy question and answer session.
“I put my priorities on a president who’s going to have the backs of our allies and hold our enemies to account, who would secure the border—no more excuses,” Haley said. “A president who would support capitalism and freedom, a president who understands we need less debt, not more. Trump has not been perfect on these policies; I have made that clear many, many times. But Biden has been a catastrophe.”

Wallace reacted to the news on MSNBC not long after and did not appear to be taking it well. “We need shrinks and cult experts to explain this because what you’re reporting, it doesn’t make a lick of sense,” Wallace told her guest after he noted that Haley did commit to supporting Trump in a GOP primary debate.
“And it’s so recent. I mean, JD Vance in 2015 said something similar. But for both her and her husband to have both been feuding publicly with him just days and weeks before endorsing,” the rabid Trump hater fumed.
With Haley’s endorsement, nearly every Republican presidential candidate with the exception of Asa Hutchinson and Chris Christie — both of whom polled below one percent — has endorsed Trump’s White House bid.
Haley was seen as a potential wild card after weeks of signaling that she may abstain from voting for Trump in November. The former UN ambassador was sought after by the “no labels” party and had frequently criticized Trump throughout the campaign cycle.
Haley, who ended her campaign two months ago without endorsing Trump, had accused him of sowing chaos and undermining U.S. global alliances. She had also raised concerns about whether Trump, at 77, was too old for the presidency.
Trump has repeatedly stated that Haley is not being viewed as a candidate for vice president, though he has left the possibility open for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.
