Donald Trump and Joe Biden have tied in a New Hampshire poll, raising alarm bells for the Democrat candidate in the state where the Democrat candidate in presidential elections has won every year since 2000.

The NHJournal/Praecones Analytica poll found that 36.6 percent of New Hampshire voters would cast their ballot for Trump, 36.5 percent would cast their ballot for Biden, and 14.6 percent would vote for Robert F Kennedy. An Additional 12.4 percent said they wouldn’t vote for those three candidates.

Undeclared voters were roughly split between the four options, with Biden receiving 27.5 percent support, Trump receiving 24.2 percent, Kennedy receiving 23.2, and the option for none of these candidates receiving 25.1.

Trump pulled more votes from his party, with 84.2 percent of Republican voters saying they would vote for him, while 80.7 percent of Democrat voters said they would vote for Biden. Kennedy drew in more votes from the Democrat party, with 11.2 percent of Democrat voters saying they would vote for him, while 6.6 percent of Republican voters said the same.

Trump drew in more votes from all age groups below the age of 65, seeing the largest margin in the 35.44 age group where he led by 13.3 percent. Biden was in the lead among voters over the age of 65, bringing 52.2 percent of votes to Trump’s 26.8 percent.

The survey was conducted between May 15 and 20 of 862 registered voters and has a margin of error of 3.33 percent.

The close polling numbers put Biden at risk of being the first Democrat presidential candidate to lose the state since Al Gore in 2000.

Praecones Analytica’s Jonathan Klingler told the NH Journal, "While registered voters of both parties are largely united around their nominee, independent/undeclared voters are splitting their support in four statistically indistinguishable ways: between Biden, Trump, Kennedy, and other unnamed candidates."

"In comparison to exit polls from the 2020 presidential election, independent/undeclared voters in New Hampshire demonstrate significantly lower support for Biden, as Biden won around 60 percent of these voters in 2020, compared to around a quarter if the election were held today."
