The Cowboys have added a former Pro Bowler into the fold as the 2024 NFL season draws near.

Running back Dalvin Cook is signing with Dallas after splitting last season between the Jets and Ravens, multiple reports said Wednesday.

The 29-year-old, who visited with the Cowboys earlier this week, will reportedly begin on the practice squad.

Cook made four straight Pro Bowls with the Vikings from 2019-22 before signing a one-year deal with the Jets last August.

With Breece Hall dominating the backfield, Cook made very little impact with the Jets, who let him go late last season.

He latched on with Baltimore, appearing in its divisional-round playoff victory over the Texans.

Cook had 67 carries for 214 yards and 15 catches for 78 yards in 15 games with the Jets.

After a one-year split, the Cowboys brought Ezekiel Elliott back this year, and Dallas will hope the pair of former star rushers who are past their primes can combine for a competent ground attack behind their offensive line.

Elliott, 29, was a three-time Pro Bowler over seven seasons with the Cowboys but joined the Patriots last season as Dallas put more on Tony Pollard’s shoulders; Pollard then signed a three-year, $21.75 million contract with the Titans, prompting a Cowboys-Elliott reunion.

In 17 games with the Patriots, Elliott had 184 carries for 642 yards and three touchdowns, adding 51 catches for 313 yards and two receiving scores.

Rico Dowdle, who appeared in 16 games for the Cowboys last season, was expected to have a larger role in a committee this season, though that could change once Cook is up to speed.

On Monday, the Cowboys finally came to a deal with star receiver CeeDee Lamb, giving him a four-year, $136 million contract extension.
