Joe Biden and Donald Trump have agreed to square off in a debate hosted by CNN on June 27.

But one former Biden official believes the agreement could fall apart in the next few weeks.

And Jen Psaki slipped up and referred to Joe Biden by one nickname that Democrats will hate.

After continuously ignoring former President Donald Trump’s debate challenge, President Joe Biden finally accepted the offer on Wednesday in an awkward – clearly heavily edited – video on social media.

“Let’s pick the dates, Donald,” Biden said in the short video. “I hear you’re free on Wednesdays.”

The debate will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on June 27, and will be hosted by Democrats’ allies at CNN.

But former Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki is a self-described “skeptic.”

On Wednesday, she sat down for an interview with ex-Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor on the Pod Save America podcast to discuss the campaign and the June 27 debate.

“I’m still a skeptic, a little bit,” Psaki said.

But she isn’t a skeptic because she knows Biden’s physical and mental decline makes it impossible for him to complete the basic tasks required of those participating in major Presidential debates, like find his way from backstage to his podium or even stringing coherent sentences together.  

She is skeptical of Trump.

Given all the rules Biden made Trump agree to in order to participate in the debate – like only allowing Democrats’ media allies at CNN, CBS, ABC or Telemundo to moderate the debate, banning Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from participating, forbidding any audience from attending, and shutting off one another’s microphones while the other is speaking – Psaki wouldn’t be surprised if the former President decides to back out at the last minute.

“Trump could certainly say, ‘I never agreed to those terms in the letter,’ and he probably will,” Psaki said. “That’s how this all falls apart.” 

Paski praised her former co-workers within the Biden regime for how they handled the debate and dealt with all of the pressure they’re facing as the Democrat President continues to trail Trump in numerous polls.

“I think this is an interesting play by the Biden team,” Psaki said. “It feels chaotic,” she continued, before adding “and it feels a little weak that he can’t unilaterally make all these things calm.” 

“I think internally they knew that at some point this was going to hit a head,” she said. “They were either going to be ahead of it, or they’d be responding to Trump.” 

But in her rambling, Psaki correctly referred to her former boss as “Sleepy Joe.”

“If [Biden] had said, I’m considering it, it would have fed into the ‘Sleepy Joe’ narrative that they’ve done a pretty job of beating back,” Psaki declared.

She also admitted that it seemed like Biden was on drugs during his State of the Union Address.

But only time will tell if Joe Biden and Donald Trump square off on June 27, or if it falls apart like Jen Psaki predicted.
