By Jeff Davidson,
By now everyone has either seen the movie Weekend at Bernie’s, knows something about the plot line, or has heard Gov. Ron DeSantis refer to the movie in characterizing Joe Bidens’ presidency.
Two enterprising co-workers are staying a beach house owned their boss, Bernie. They two are unaware that he has contracted to have them killed, but the plan goes awry and Bernie is the one killed. The buddies continue their vacation by pretending Bernie is still alive. The movie is insanely funny because the action calls for Bernie’s corpse to appear in various settings to make it seem as if he is simply drunk or tired or passed out: Anything but dead.
A Sad State of the Union
It is quite sad that the installed president of the U.S., Joe Biden emulates many aspects of the role played by Bernie. Even with a cue card in his hand, addressing a tiny supportive group, in a non-pressure setting, with staff all around him, Biden often cannot finish sentences. Thus, the remaining months of his presidency put the world at risk.
As we’ve witnessed, Biden will make references to something that happened yesterday, which simply did not happen at all. The sycophants all around him act as if everything is normal. They applaud on cue. They pretend that Biden maintains an aura of power and invincibility, while they intentionally overlook or downplay his abnormal behavior, twisted thought, and inane ramblings.
Whereas the press has sought to scorch President Trump 24/7/365 for eight years running, Biden gets free pass after free pass. And now Kamala Harris, who also seems somewhat cerebrally challenged, is receiving the same kid glove treatment.
Lying for a Living
At one point during Trump’s presidency, The Washington Post published an article claiming that Trump had uttered 30,000 lies or misleading statements. Yet, there is no corresponding index for Joe Biden who incessantly utters demonstrable, proven lies, or for those uttered by Kamala Harris.
Joe Biden offers outright falsehoods with regularity. He was in the top half of his class. He was in jail with Nelson Mandela. He marched for civil rights. His relative got eaten by cannibals. His son Beau died in battle. Trump wants to be a dictator and end Democracy. Give Biden some time and he’ll launch gross lies about the attempted assassination of last week.
What will historians say about 2024, decades or even centuries from now, when comprehensive video footage of Joe Biden will continue to exist in some form? Our ancestors will see a pitiful character, one who had no business leading the U.S. let alone being a candidate for president once again.
Biden’s wife covers for him 24/7. Without such aid, his lapses would appear even worse. How many times did Melania Trump have to cover for Donald Trump in his four years? You guessed it, never. How many times did Michelle Obama have to cover for Barack Obama? Not once. How many times did Laura Bush have to cover for George W. Bush? Zero times.
Pollsters Who Pollute
Could Biden serve even at the lowest levels of government? Could Harris? No. Yet legions of people on the Left will vote for her regardless, including never-Trumpers, the hopelessly brainwashed, and progressive/socialist zealots.
Some pollsters indicate that Donald Trump is leading in six of seven or seven of seven swing states, but by small margins. This we know: regardless of the lead that Donald Trump maintains in the swing states, Democrats will cheat in ways that make 2020 look like child’s play. This is a low point in U.S. history. We have faced mortal enemies, largely overcome social inequities, and otherwise addressed pressing issues throughout our 248-year history. Where exactly does propping up crooked politicians belong?
