Famous fast-food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A is reportedly working with leaders in the entertainment industry to create, license, and acquire family-friendly content for a streaming network debuting later this year, Deadline reports.
The Christian-run restaurant, most famous for its chicken sandwiches and iconic dipping sauce, has been working on producing several projects, including a game show in partnership with Sugar23, the creator of the Netflix teen series "13 Reasons Why," and Glassman Media, the creator of "The Wall."
The goal is to create "family-friendly" content for an upcoming streaming service that will include animated and scripted content, as reported by Deadline. This is not the first time the restaurant joint has ventured into the entertainment industry.
The Cathy Family, who owns Chick-fil-A, controls an independently managed trust that co-founded Trilith Studios, which is based in Atlanta and works with one of the entertainment industry's most famous brands: Marvel, according to The Verge.
Chick-fil-A created a short, animated film series published on its website titled, "Stories of Evergreen Hills." According to its description, the series "follows a young girl named Sam as she discovered how little acts of kindness can bring people together." The company has not yet announced or publicly commented on its newest venture in the entertainment industry.
