Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump did not balk when he was told he could be in danger at the U.S.-Mexico border Thursday.

A reporter informed Trump about a manhunt for a man who threatened to kill Trump, per Mediaite.

“There’s a manhunt going on in this county. A man who has made death threats to you? Did you hear about that before coming? What are your thoughts coming down here?” the reporter asked. “Some people told me it’s dangerous for you to be here.”

Trump seemingly did not flinch about the disturbing news, saying, “I’ve heard it’s dangerous, but I also have a job to do.”

“I’ve heard it’s very dangerous. I haven’t heard about that,” he said of his life being threatened. “They probably want to keep it from me. Thank you for telling me.”

“Let’s get out of here right now,” Trump joked.

The former president continued to laud the work of Secret Service agents.

“And I have great respect for Secret Service. The job they do, including, a month and a half ago when they were jumping on top of me with bullets flying right at them, Trump said. “So mistakes were made and they’re going to learn from the mistakes. But, I have great respect. But no, I haven’t heard that.”

Trump added he was not surprised his life was in danger.

“But I’m not that surprised. And the reason is because I want to do things that are very bad for the bad guys,” he said. “So I have heard it’s very unsafe to make this trip. There were some people that really didn’t want me to make it.”

Ronald Lee Syvrud, 66, was taken into custody at about 2:30 p.m. local time, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News Digital.

Carol Capas, Cochise County public information officer, said Syvrud targeted Trump with threatening posts on social media over two days.

Syvrud appears to not be a stranger to law enforcement.

According to the sheriff’s office, Syvrud has outstanding warrants from the state of Wisconsin for DUI and failure to appear for DUI and from Graham County, Arizona, for hit-and-run and felony failure to register as a sex offender.

This latest threat against Trump’s life comes after an assassination attempt on Trump at a July rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

On Wednesday, Trump held his first outdoor rally since that day in July when his right ear was grazed by a bullet. He spoke behind bulletproof glass in Asheboro, North Carolina.
