A cacophony has started to grow across the political landscape over the past few days, with strong signs coming from Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, that he could soon suspend his 2024 campaign.

As RedState's Susie Moore shared, Shanahan wrote in an X post on Thursday about "[her] old Dem buddies": [emphasis added]

When I point out what the Democratic Party and their super PACs have done to sabotage our campaign, their response is always, “but Trump is worse.” Here’s an idea: stop suing us. Let us debate. Quit rigging the media and the polls. It’s a simple formula, people—get with it.

My colleague at sister site Townhall, Rebecca Downs, wrote Thursday night that a special guest will appear with Republican nominee Donald Trump, at the previously scheduled Turning Point USA event in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday. Speculation is that it could be Kennedy--and the murmurs will only grow louder with the news that RFK Jr. filed on Thursday to withdraw from Arizona's ballot:

Also on Thursday, Donald Trump's running mate, Senator JD Vance (R-OH) sat down on "The Glenn Beck Program," with the syndicated radio host, and they chatted on various topics, including the Buckeye state lawmaker's "dissatisfaction" with how the Biden-Harris administration is handling the investigation into the July assassination attempt against Trump.

But in another clip from their interview, Vance explained why he believes the Kennedy scion would help Trump if he came on board.

To back up slightly, Beck opened the clip by bringing up the possibility of both X owner Elon Musk and Kennedy working as part of a Trump-Vance administration. And while Vance touched on that recent, intriguing idea about Musk, most of his answer was on the Massachusetts politician:

Beck: Is there serious discussion of Elon Musk coming on, and with RFK (sic) -- where do you think he would be best

Vance: Trying not to put the cart, too much, before the horse with Elon of course--because I think he's a genius, I think he could help us a great deal. But we have to win the election first of course before we give Elon any positions or any titles here.

I think RFK really could do a lot for us on questions of — you know, we have 8,000 veterans, I believe, maybe more, that we kicked out of the military because they refused to take the vaccine. I'd love for RFK to take a look at that, but I haven't talked to him. I don't know what he's interested in.

Until former Pres. Trump and Kennedy have a chance to speak--maybe as soon as Friday in the Copper state--we can only await the answer to the question my colleague Ward Clark asked in his recent piece, when Kennedy announced that he would address Americans on Friday: "Will He Jump on Team Trump?"
